    One thing we forget is that the more coverage you have or blended spread, the less power you would need to achieve the same goal. And with things like T5 often times par is significantly lower in SPS dominant tanks than many led tanks purely because of how good the spread from the fixtures is. The blade is the same way.

    The tank looks great. I think after awhile of lower intensity settings the corals will adjust and adapt to the new lighting schedule and I’m sure their color will come back. I had a similar issue with my radions where it cooked some of my LPS but after a few weeks they came back.

    Looks like you would have room between the lights. If you do that (by modifying the stand) you could consider tilting the outermost Blades towards the base of the rocks. That way would would get a little bit less direct light from the top, and at the same time have more even light distribution under the ledges. Have you considered moving the SPS higher, and zoas down at the bottom?

    I would have to agree with some others, your coral was looking good and the new additions would probably have been baby’s for a bit but got with the program after a few weeks.
    Good to note that it’s not a bad idea to slowly ramp 1% or so a day while either decreasing or increasing your tanks par (if you can do so).
    Another banger of a video CJ 😎👍

    Shoot for 280-360 for your sps archway in the tank. Your zoa will let you know if you’re hitting the mark by how retracted they are and by how the colors present. A mixed reef is hard to find the balance for everything.
    Keep the 4 lights for the spread and stop concentrating on intensity. You have a good blanket of light to knock out all the dark spots and your lights are similar to a bank of t5s which was the standard of reefing. Good job CJ. Check out the AB+ schedule 40w 20b 20v. Get it dialed in and reassess the coral after a month. At that point its fine tuning your chemistry. Once your SPS have polyp extension during the daylight hours and your soft coral aren’t retracted and present full and healthy you’re on the money.

    The best way to test is to kill the flow during your measurements. Your par numbers seem on point with your current settings.

    • @CJSAQUARIUMS
      @CJSAQUARIUMS  3 місяці тому +2

      Definitely worth seeing without flow but all honesty I’d rather test par under conditions corals would see. Flow on and with lid on the tank.. ether way doesn’t have to be 100% accurate. Ball park is good enough. Thanks for tapping in 🫡

    Probably better off running the 4 at lower power. More coverage, nice pop with the 2/2 glow grow mix, LED's will last longer.
    I was still debating on running a XR15 blue with two grows or XR15 PRO with two glows. I was kind of leaning towards the latter as the glow running down the front should make the coral pop while still allowing me to run a whiter light which I prefer. Now my indecisive ass has a 3rd option to consider 😭
    Tank is gorgeous BTW.

    • @CJSAQUARIUMS
      @CJSAQUARIUMS  19 днів тому +1

      @@Chousakan if it was me I’d use glows with the xr15. Take advantage of the color pop and let xr15 handle your needs for white lighting. The grows don’t give much color Mainly cool whites and 2 channels of blues. Just my opinion on it after using em.. good luck bro 😎

    What is your combo between grow and glow? If I went with 3 would i do 2 grow and one glow? Great looking tank btw, I've watched this thing progress from the beginning and its insane.

    • @CJSAQUARIUMS
      @CJSAQUARIUMS  3 місяці тому +1

      Personally I would go two glow one grow if I had 3. But AI recommends 2 grow 1 glow. I prefer my tank to have more of the violet and UV than the cool whites. So it’s just a personal preference I think ether combo would do fine tho it’s really up to you. Even tho I have 4 blades I still run the glows at a higher intensity for that extra pop.. its really up to you tho and your eyes preference
