Yea thinking about it. If we would’ve done that it would’ve definitely helped. Because from the angle we got stuck we had drivers side 2axle wheels in the air, and passenger side 3rd axle wheels in the air, connecting at an angle where we have grip for all the 8 wheels, we would pull it out no problem.
Car hauling is a tough job. I tried it for a week and never worked so hard in my life. We hauled rental cars and always picked up our load at night, usually while it was raining or snowing. The old trailer leaked hydraulic fluid like the exxon valdez. Walking on the top deck coated with rain and oil made for a scary situation. A fall from that height can easily kill you.
Wow that does sound really scary. That why we only drove CA-TX route, cause we wanted to avoid snow. But we had to load unload in the rain though. It gets easier over time.
Yea after this situation, we now do the same thing, park on streets, sometimes on the yellow lane if there is no other choice and we need to pick or drop one car real quick.
I just recently found out about that from a friend. He also told me the same thing. I didn’t know that then. Although I have a trailer lift but it only raises like 2-3 inches. By unscrewing the lever I could have raised it higher.
Haha, it was on its belly. We had a ford F-350 Dually try, He just started burning out with all 6 wheels, couldnt move us an inch. Don't think a ranger would do anything.
Try also disconnect from trailer and link it up from another angle. I drive stepdeck low pro. It’s typical problem for us too. Sometimes it helps

thats why i park on a street ..i would not go into small streets or pull inside dealership ..when i can unload and car runs and drive
