  • Families' capacity to support children have been boosted alot through various ways of caregiver empowerment. This video shows how some of the mentioned activities have really empowered caregivers.
A number of caregivers learnt baking skill and are using it either as a group or at individual level. A group registered with social services supplies bread and scones at the CDC and in the community. A few individuals also bake and sell bread in the community. Two jikos have been distributed to caregivers and are baking in their villages.
A total of 55 caregivers are in the chicken rearing group with 16 of them having benefitted with chickens from the project after they were hatched at the project.
Through HVC intervention, some caregivers have become stable business people and they continue selling in the community. This has really changed their lives and we hope they will keep growing their business even without support from the church.
