The mules and horses are not paying anything at all in Bulgaria. Actually they are banned to enter in the city.
Yeah but there still are a ton of them^^
No laws work for the gypsies.
Love your storytelling skill and your random on purpose approach to travel!
I lived in Sofia for a year and a half before I finally went to Plovdiv. 😂 So I feel you. It will be there. It's been there for thousands of years! 😀 Chill days in Sofia are the best! Dude, the next time you are in Sofia, I could totally show you around. SO many lovely local places. I know a ton, but there are always more gems to be found. I love this city! 😍
Here we use the Cyrillic alphabet, created in the end of 9th of century by Clement Ohridski in Bulgaria and is spread all over Russia, Mongolia. ..Over 300 milion people use it.
The Latin and Cyrillic alphabets use the Greek letters as the basis. In the Cyrillic alphabet are added specific letters, some of the sounds, which are in the Slavonic languages, while in the Latin alphabet these sounds are written in a combination of separate letters.
The letters are not difficult, as the Latin letters are not difficult for the people who use Cyrillic. :)
It takes only some diligence and desire to learn it.
Thank you for your wonderful videos about Sofia!!❤️
Great vid! As a Bulgarian I strongly suggest you to try some traditional Bulgarian food like Shopska salad, Banitsa, Shkembe soup, Kachamak ext. Also if you have enough time visit other towns like Plovdiv, Veliko Turnovo and also the Rila monastery
@@pietrojenkins6901 I would say that we are pretty tolerant towards other cultures and races. We don't like gypsies though, but that is another story. We have never ever enslaved people, colonised, robbed out or shit like this, that the today's "tolerant" countries used to do for centuries. Although Bulgaria was with the 3rd Reich in the WWII not a single Bulgarian jew was killed.
The N word is not a taboo in Bulgaria though and you can hear sometimes people (especially older generations) using it but they definitely don't mean it a way to insult anyone.
The drink in the end is called Ayrian and you can think of it as a liquid yoghurt. We like to say that yoghurt has bulgarian roots, so this is something like a national treasure!
MAN YOU ARE THE BEST LITERALLY. I from Bulgaria and your vlogs are just WoW, i have just watched all you previous videos in Bulgaria and in the previous video there was a comment that said you need to visit Plovdiv and now you are visiting it . Just WOW
Plovdiv by far is the best city in Bulgaria. Can’t wait for you to go their! By the way “Dobro utro” is how to say Good Morning in Bulgarian.
Luke, as a Bulgarian, thank you so much for the amazing videos and respectful behavior! I loved your reaction to Rila! We have exquisite nature sites, but MAN MAN MAN...... You missed Plovdiv of all places?!??!!?
I’m Bulgarian, but I live in Portland, Oregon.
You should go to the sea side Varna, Burgas, Sunny Beach, Nesebar, Sozopol
Varna 3>3>3>3>
Sunny Beach - hell no!
great videos man, i live exactly where you vlog(dental student) and i have to say bulgaria and sofia is very nice
you should spend the night in Plovdiv.. there is so much history, and so many sights to see... and you should definitely climb one of the hills and chill there till the sunset... if you need more recommendations I'm happy to help.
Come back in July 5-7 for the Jazz Festival will be amazing!
Do you have to get a ticket for it?
No , it’s in the park and it’s free
Hi, if you don't understand what the cyrillic writing is saying (like me) why dont you use the camera function within google translate ? Just an idea
@@sumrndmgrl I'm guessing he would describe it as the challenge of the moment, Hi Luke
Go to the simonovo lift and climb up the mountain (Vitosha). I assure you that it is going to be nice. You can get to it with bus 123.
heeeeeey its travel thats how it goes sometimes some times you just have it and thats ok makes you have motivation to come back another time and do it....anyone who travels knows how it works
Bro its summer , and you wont go to see the sea in BUlgaria? Do it before you leave man.

Hello ! If you have a chance to visit Ruse city, very beautiful!
Keep it up man nice videos
glad we get tourists like in that in my home 'born-from' city...looks like americans are way better tourists than brits (congrats to liverpool fans anyway....).
Please film in higher FPS the frame stutter when you pan is migrane inducing XD
You should visit Plovdiv. It has a lot better energy than Sofia, it's tidy and with better infrastructure. It's the only city in Europe together with Rome build on 7 hills. There is an ancient theater that is fully functional and the city is European capital of culture exactly this year, so there are a lot of events going on. Also, people are much nicer and more friendly than in Sofia(I live here) and the women are very beautiful.
Plovdiv is famous for many things but one of them is the word "ailqk", which basically means chilling. That is what all people in Plovdiv love to do. :)
hope you manage to read my comment, visit Varna it's on the east coast :)
You need to go in sunny beach
Its so much fun there
Come to Gabrovo or Tyrnovo while you are here
You should have asked for a mule-drawn carriage ride around the city 🤣🤣
Haha, no... you're given an OG status and you won't be taxated if you're with your mule. I'm joking, it depends if the authorities wanna deal with you lol.
it would be really cool if you came to varna its the capital of the sea
The graffiti in Sofia is fucking ugly. I wouldn't even mind it so much if these guys put in some effort, but they just do a terrible job.
DOBRO UTRO = GOOD MORNING
Its called ayran
Luke dont be a victim of own plans 😁😁😁 they could be switch into another Hungary 😉😎
Its a horse😂😂❤
Kefir?
Sour milk good stuff
More or less the same, aka an excellent source of probiotic. (It is the same as Indian Lassi).
Ayran
At the beginning ... Miles are banned to enter the city but there are no rules for the gypsies..
Since you enjoy Bulgaria so much, why not learn the Cyrillic alphabet by the next time you come there?
TJ
Are you serious why does he need it?
Larissa Morgan, He was complaining about not understanding the names the streets in Sofia. But you’re right, he may not need to learn the Cyrillic alphabet because he is focused on learning Polish. It’s Poland that he loves so much.
Sofia is just as old as Plovdiv!
Rositsa Petrova Yea,but Sofia doesn’t have the old town( statria grad) or the antique theater...and Plovdiv has the prettiest girls. Cheers!
No its not......
Learn some history

I suggest you follow your own advice, mate!
@@NikeBG Plovdiv is older .
