It's been like 12 years since I've been there. I used to live in CT and going there was always a blast. I remember even going to Halloween events too. It's so nice to see it again after all this time, even if I'm not there physically. I hope to see it again sometime soon! I also have a story about one time I was there... I was pretty young, can't remember my exact age though. But, my family and I were with some relatives and such, and we had gone to sit down at a seating area. I noticed that one of the benches was wobbly, and it came right off of its supports. So, I put it back, thinking nobody would sit on it. Well, unfortunately another family came by, and they too had a small (younger than me) child who decided to put their hands up on the bench, and it flipped right over onto their fingers. Yes, there was blood, but also my family and me fled the scene pretty quick. Don't know if anyone has heard of this incident but I will never forget it.
I like Lake Compounce a lot--I was just there a few weeks ago. Boulder Dash is an elite ride but it's getting uncomfortably rough. Phobia Phear Coaster is a great ride, and it has the good Sky Rocket II restraints, no "comfort collars". They also have one of the better Boomerangs out there, for what it's worth. The waterpark is really good for a park of this scale, and it's included with general admission. They stopped offering free soda (making that an upcharge deal which is not attractive), but they do have free water-bottle-filling stations, which are great for keeping hydrated on hot days. The ride I miss most is the huge skyride that used to go about 700 feet up the mountain, which they shut down over safety concerns some years ago. That, to me, was the other centerpiece of the park aside from Boulder Dash. It seems like they're understaffed and slammed lately, and it means that they often won't get many rides running until hours after opening (including Boulder Dash). The resulting closure listings at opening can make you think the whole park is shut down. Even so, I found that the lines were usually not unbearable.
Yeah, the Intamin joke is pretty accurate... Over here at Discovery Kingdom we have the modified Intamin impulse shuttle coaster. It's been down for the past four months. It's still Dow and it's peak season right now....
Went on Lights Out, I had to climb a very wet staircase to the balcony, then I took the slide back down, very fast and curvy. When I landed, some of the water went in my nose!
The park's owned and run by the same company that owns Kennywood, it actually has a pretty substantial budget behind it. I bet the park will be some tough competition for any large park on the east coast soon. It's been improving very quickly ever since Kennywood Parks bought the park in... what was it, 2000?
Boulder Dash is the only thing worth going there for. They seldom if ever put two trains on because management is cheap. Half of the rides were not working this year. The other problem with this park is that from may to september it is over run by day campers and school groups. Regular families cant enjoy the place because it is overcrowded . They never add any new flat rides .If they add a new ride they usually get ride of one or two
Kyle Green Cinema yes they did, they have alll new track in that area and there are only 2 bumps now where the 3 bumps in a row are. I go there every week and am up to date with all their construction, so don't tell me I don't know what I'm saying.
Boulder dash freaking hurts now, it used to my favorite, know I just can't cause it shakes a lot but when I go there tomorrow, I might right even tho I'll prob loose my back😂
canobie lake park is in salem,NH and also has a vintage wooden roller coaster. great parkm go there every summer, but going to lake compounce this year!
tbh you make it sound like the park is tiny, its actually really big, I live in Connecticut so I would know. Just felt the need to say that( forgot to mention that in the summer the lines get so crowded I waited almost 58 mins for down time) k that's it
I thought I would hate this park, considering they only have one good coaster, and it's a clone. But I do like this park a lot, even if their lineup isn't the best.
I LOVE Boulder Dash. Did you get to ride it at night? When that thing gets warmed up it hauls at night. It's definitely one of the best night rides out there. It is second, to me, only to The Voyage at night.
I left at about 3 PM to go to Quassy (next video). The park closed at 8 PM, so there wouldn't have been night rides available anyway. I would imagine it would be pretty intense though!
Both were walk-on for the first two hours of operation. Boulder Dash never got longer than 10 minutes, even with one train. I don't suspect Ghost Hunt got too much worse.
kiddie rides are nice. they have a whole kiddie land place. i have to ride them with my sister all the time and they aren't terribly boring. mini down time, mini carousel, mini swings (extremely boring), mini bumper cars, air balloon rides, the spinny drum thingys, mini roller coaster, i think they have this ship ride there but i'm not sure if they got rid of it, caterpillar train and zoomers gass n go. they also have a kiddie water park with slides and swings. I think little kids can go on the pirate ship but i'm not exactly sure.
Im going to lake compounce tomorrow and Im litterally obsessed with this place! I cant wait!
At the end of the school year my class will go here...we do it every year😄

Lights out is a great ride and in the way down its pitch black.

It's a very fun place to go for some fun. Lots to do.
they removed the 3 bumps and made it into 2, it is smooth now
Kyle Green Cinema yes they did, they have alll new track in that area and there are only 2 bumps now where the 3 bumps in a row are. I go there every week and am up to date with all their construction, so don't tell me I don't know what I'm saying.
Aaron Productions sorry did not realize they did construction on the track I just remember the fast three bumps right at the end
They had to get rid of them. People were getting hurt
Boulder dash freaking hurts now, it used to my favorite, know I just can't cause it shakes a lot but when I go there tomorrow, I might right even tho I'll prob loose my back😂

I thought I would hate this park, considering they only have one good coaster, and it's a clone. But I do like this park a lot, even if their lineup isn't the best.
boulder dash isn't a clone
+Patrick Bennett I'm talking about Phobia. Why does everyone always assume I'm talking about Boulder Dash? It's such a rough, painful ride.
Clorox Bleach yep I almost crapped my pants when it started to shake
Lights out is awesome! But it takes forever to get on!

How long was the line for Boulder Dash and Ghost Hunt?
Both were walk-on for the first two hours of operation. Boulder Dash never got longer than 10 minutes, even with one train. I don't suspect Ghost Hunt got too much worse.

What is this about free Pepsi??? Also, any insight on the kiddie rides?
They have pepsi machines through out the park. Where you can just grab a cup and fill it up for free
kiddie rides are nice. they have a whole kiddie land place. i have to ride them with my sister all the time and they aren't terribly boring. mini down time, mini carousel, mini swings (extremely boring), mini bumper cars, air balloon rides, the spinny drum thingys, mini roller coaster, i think they have this ship ride there but i'm not sure if they got rid of it, caterpillar train and zoomers gass n go. they also have a kiddie water park with slides and swings. You forgot raging rapids
No kids section?
They have one in the front right corner of the park, not very large or interesting
