      idk how he could be considered good from a technical perspective, but his head movement and ability to land is good. Those two things and his crazy build result in this. If he wants to beat jones he's gonna have to get better, and I hope he does cuz I hate jones lmao. Anyways alistair beat him easily cuz apart from ability to land shots and crazy power he has nothing else on the standup to challenge a good striker, he had no answer for the clinch. Hope he starts grinding his wrestling and fighting smart/to win.

    He is also a very controlled and respectful fighter. He immediately knows when he lands a ko and holds back the follow up Punches, often before the ref can even react.

    He is brutal but I am amazed at how clean he is. He puts people to sleep and I saw him hold up and not crush the helpless opponent as the referee could not get there or see the condition of the fighter fast enough before Sergei was in position for another smash. He held up and you almosty never see that. That makes you like the guy all the more. He is a killer,

    No one is talking about his speed for a heavyweight. That's what's distinctive about this guy. All heavyweights have power but this guy also has incredible speed.

      It's not really his hand speed but his combo speed which is more in the body movement and shot selection. He finds the fastest route/punch to the head while putting his combos together. He also has great closing speed because he punches far from his body and keeps his head away from danger. Dude knows how to fight man lol

      What makes the Tom Aspinall fight interesting is that Tom seems like he isn't Human, he has more speed than any heavyweight in history. Tom's movement for a guy who is 6'5" is a genetic anomaly. It's sad because they both deserve a shot at the real title (not a fake interim title).

    During fight with Alister he was hit by acclimatisation. He came to China just a few days before fight and felt ok, but after 2 minutes in octagon he was so exhausted, so he couldn't stand up after fall.

      @@DarekBirton Sure when you watch it slowmo. But in real time some of his overhands are good for 185er-speed. And I guess lowkick are kinda realy dangerous to throw against someone with such monstrous reach and speed, I guess only Gane could realibly pull this off and mb JJ, but JJ in HW seems to slow and I guess JJ don't want no exchanges with someone like Sergei and would choose clinch and wrestling like 99 out of 100 times/.

    His striking is similar to that of Dustin Poirier, the body shifts between footwork to a position where the body is fully facing the opponent; the main difference would be that Dustin defends one of his exposed sides by attacking with the opposite hand in a continuous motion of defense and offense. And Pavlovich just focuses on offense. Personally I think this style is effective against fighters who are not used to long exchanges. And it's probably more effective on Heavyweights than on lightweights considering that Heavyweights are more likely to go for oneshot kills.

    More than with his power iam amazed how well hes able to chain such powerful shots. He doesnt stop shot that missed, instead uses the momentum to chain it into another technique. Hes very precise and have good aim as well. I like him.

    He has very much potential.
    He has the perfect height with a "natural" weight close to the weight class limit. He also has a ridiculous reach and a very good eye for finding the best openings.
    The biggest threat for his career is actually his early success. Because plenty of fighters who start out like this tend to develop one-trick-pony-syndrome and waste years of their lives not properly improving themselves, since everything is "working out well" until it stops working and they became to inflexible to adapt. Let's hope he is not like that.

    Ive been watching these fights since they started in the octagon back in the day. Im am surprised how much pavlouich gets away with hitting his opponents as often as he does behind the head that seems to be a major impact to his advantage. He is a great fighter and he has the power but they need to regulate his fights a lot more stricter . I look forward to watching his career and a lot of his fights.

      They don't let him get away with it. He is throwing a perfectly legal overhand right and the opponent is misjudging the punch and turning away from it causing it to land to the back of the head. Nothing illegal about it, just a mistake by the opponent.
