Great video, thanks. I was lost as to how to clean out the fuzz I could see!

This video saved my sanity!!! I am working on a project for my daughters wedding (and time is passing too fast). Thank you - I was having a terrible bird's nest problem in text embroidery. and had to move to running stitch connection as opposed to the cutting between letter and it was making it slow and terrible to trim threads. I saw that thread was constantly getting stuck on the little hook and after watching this video, I was able to determine that the knife was knicked. Found one at the Viking Gallery near me and replaced it, cleaned it up and YAY!!!! I just did one whole block with lots of text and it worked. Thank you! Thank you!!

Remember to change the blade. After 3-1/2 years after purchase, I changed mine 2 nights ago.

OMG, thank you so much for showing how to put the knife back in! I accidentally dislodged mine cleaning and couldn't figure out how to get it back in. Took about 30 seconds after watching your video. :-)

Thank you! It worked for my Opal 960Q, too. Only problem I had after cleaning, was putting the silver pointed item just behind? the knife... for my cutter to work. Decided to just leave it out until I get my machine serviced later this year & cut threads the "old-fashioned " way!!!
July, 2022: reviewed this video again... what I saw was the lint/fuzz left between the feed dogs & behind them, from the camera angle. Also, you can remove the bobbin case to really remove all of the lint/fuzz, drop 1 drop of sewing machine oil on the top edge of the case, then insert it back in (no bobbin, yet). Use the handwheel to make several revolutions, to spread the oil, where the plastic meets the metal.
NOTE: Before you sew on any project, sew several feet of stitches (different lengths) on "practice fabric" to get any oil that may have been transfered during the cleaning/oiling process. Info from a trained sewing machine repair person, in the business >20 years!

Thank you for the information on the knife cutter, all of a sudden it feels like the knife isn't cutting my thread, now I know how easy it is to take the knife our and replace it. I will call my dealer tomorrow.

There is a L shaped piece behind the pressure foot in this image, it dropped into the machine... how do we get this out? Will it cause harm if we run the machine? (suspect yes is the answer for harm)

The needle plate on my Husqvarna Viking Epic won’t re-insert. The front right corner cannot be pushed down to click in. (The single plate works perfectly.). How can this be resolved? Thank you.

I wonder if you could show us how to adjust the last thread guide that us just above the needle....mine got knocked up or back just enough to break my thread every time I go to thread my needle...I don’t know if I can push it down a little bit or if I should pull it forward or if I should just take it to the doctor which Is 45 miles away! It’s driving me nuts!

Thank you so much for this clear video. I had to take my knife out to remove a big clump of fluff after sewing fleece. I could not work out how to put it back until I viewed this excellent video.

I cannot thank you enough for this video. I was cleaning and my thread cut knife came loose and I thought I had broken something! Seeing how you moved the shroud out of the way, I was able to finally figure out how to reinsert the knife.
    What a relief!!!!! Thank you!!!

Thank you. My knife has come out. God bless you. I get a message check the needle thread. and the embroidery stops. The top thread becomes loose and I pull it to make it tight.

This was a life saver today Cindy. I remembered seeing it before and today I needed it - my knife popped out while I was cleaning my Topaz today. Thanks a bunch! :-)

I have an old model 400 model Husqvarna machine and was wondering if you know of a site where I can order accessories, specifically I am looking for the foot that can be used for free hand embroidery. Also my machine has ran beautifully for many years and I have never taken it to be cleaned or serviced professionally. Do you recommend doing this once a year?. I enjoyed very much this video.

Thanks for this clear video - I could see there was a lot of fuzz in there, but had no idea how to get it out until I saw this. All clean now, and hopefully, no more problems on my next blocks!

Use a vacuum is the proper way. Brushing will only brush the fuzz into the machine and accumulate it somewhere invisible.

Can't tell you how many times I've been told by employees at the shop I bought my machine "Blow it out" when asking about the sensor for the bobbin. I'd sure like to know what exactly to do to keep it clean enough that the sensor would consistently work for me.

When I did this, the cutting blade fell inside my machine in an area I cannot see or access. It’s now at the shop so that the technician can extract it for me.

my bobbin case keep jumping out of position causing bird nesting, needle bending/breakage. just had it serviced and it was in the shop 4months. $3500. very unhappy. only had it 1year new.

ethiopianeyes I just purchased the Diamond Deluxe and am having the exact thing going on. Sometimes will embroider for a few inches then it happens. Sometimes it sews only two or three stitches before it happens.

    • @juliehoppel3590
      @juliehoppel3590 6 років тому

ethiopianeyes so what did they say was the issue? $3,200 is a lot of $ for a machine that's only 1 year old!
