1:00:16 Coils have a 'patrol mode' that they're in if they don't see a player where they move around slower then if they are targeting someone. They only aggro if they see you. Sometimes you can see a coil walk by without it noticing you and it won't freeze even.
austin respecting the flashlight is character growth that im here for. as a solo runner i got so tilted when i first starting watching you and heard you call it a convenience object lolll.
Even if it is a convenience object, its still useful as it helps you run through the facility faster. Walking through cautiously and constantly scanning, for most people, will be slower. Meanwhile a flashlight lets you get in more visual information faster, letting you intake more information. Either playstyle can work, but it might be good to ask yourself if the extra inventory slot is worth the loss in speed, you know?
@@the.novanator this is a good summary of my reasoning. i have done measurements of my gameplay with and without a flashlight (because i wanted to prove that the benefit it confers is statistically significant) and spending entire minutes wandering down useless or even dangerous dead-end hallways in situations where a flashlight would have told you to turn around a long time ago is measurably slower AND more dangerous, and because its lethal company, everything slower = more dangerous anyway.
I think it works on facility, it's just that not every door works. The main door type that works is ones between rooms that have the same floor material
For the door exploration, it works on all doors in Mansion tile. For facility: Catwalks/Grating -> Catwalks/Grating, door will swing out to main entrance Brick/Maze -> Brick/Maze, door will swing out to main entrance Catwalks/Grating -> Loot Room (white floor), door will swing out to main entrance everything else is random I believe
For info on the hives for Experimentation and Assurance, place them closer to the back middle of the right side of the ship, this will make it so they still go back to it after you get far away enough, but also allow for build up and make it easier to collect at the end of the day.
About Tele-Grabbing: As far as I can tell, the glitch is only performable as a client joining a host, because the “sweet spot” timing on teleporting an item depends on the lag between the host and the player, as does the “sour spot”. (The “sour spot” being an instance where the game thinks you grabbed an item, but bugs out and makes you unable to interact with anything.)
This is funni timing cause I just had a round on Offense where I inversed literally next to the fire exit - but we had a handful modded critters installed and I heard one (the goddamn Rolling Giant) nearby so I just took my chances on whether it was real or not right away Luckily it _was_ real!
FYI, hoarding bug agros if you walk into its nest zone while it's present, or if you stay beside it consecutively for about 3 seconds. They agro on you more often when you hold things because they see an item but they can't grab it, so they stay closer to you more readily for the duration to tick down.
Also factory is much more difficult to navigate via doors. Only certain tiles work. Bread explains it pretty well, and i just wrote it down on a paper so i don't forget which is which.
Telegrabbing happened to me very recently on pure accident, I picked up a shovel I'd dropped earlier, right as I got warped to ship, knowing I'd just lose all my stuff. Then proceeded to stand there especially confused, as to why I was still holding it while now on the ship "Guys, I think I glitched it? I still have my shovel.." Also I wouldnt be surprised if having 50+ mods, makes the frame-window for doing it, more forgiving.
Teleporting with items does just bug the host no matter what if you succeed, other players still have a chance of glitching out but I believe that's just a timing problem but it's risky nonetheless

Idk how late this is but theres a mod called "lategame upgrades" and one of the upgrades is a gps walkie talkie which tells your coordinates and the time. So that might help. The upgrade does cost money tho.

You cant pick up items when inverse tping and normal tping as host, it just gets stuck in your inv and you cant get rid of it. Only non-hosts can do the glitch.
if u are a host if u try to make the bug with the flash light or sometning and bring it in by tp u will soft lock the only way to get rid of soft lock is restart

Flashlights are useless. If you watch some good players play they almost never use flashlights because it’s a waste of inventory spaxe
From my experience, telegrabbing only works if you're not the host. If you are, the timing is more precise and just glitches your inventory.
