Church St. between 16th St. and Duboce has some of the craziest overhead wiring I've ever seen. It boggles my mind that they can run LRVs with pantographs and trolleybuses in the same tight space, and cross Market St. with its own wild overhead wiring scheme.
@@antoineyoung36 I agree that the Siemens are a huge improvement to the Bredas, but man I will miss the lighting in the Bredas. They have more yellow-ish lighting that matches the city vibe really well, especially during rush hours haha.
Is there any idea of when any other lines will be back in service? It's really annoying having to take a bus replacement service from Caltrain just to get downtown.
Bay Area Transit News: Uploads Video Me: The god has finally awaken Nice video, it is good to see that the Light Rail trains are back in business! I just have one question, did they do any renovations to the system while they were closed, or did they just shut it down completely due to the positive Coronavirus test. Happy Holidays!
Thank you! MUNI is currently working on the Twin Peaks Tunnel to make equipment and infrastructure improvements that they didn't do two years ago. Besides that, there hasn't been a lot going on beyond Central Subway work and a contract awarded to improve its ancient rider notification system. Hope this helps, happy holidays!
The Bredas are unfortunately an extremely problematic vehicle. They have hampered Muni's progress for decades now. I for one will be very glad to see them finally gone! Nostalgia is one thing, but these infernal things have ruined too many a commute with their endless mechanical problems!
@@Jmoney-db4rp Yeah, bud, you're a bit of nazi. You don't belong in SF. You should look into Texas. That might be a better fit for your ideology/mental illness.
Finally! Glad to see Muni running again! Can’t wait until the Central Subway to be finished... If it ever gets finished...
Its basically done, right now they are just testing trains
Most of it is finished, but I think they’re having problems with the Chinatown station which is what’s taking them so long.
@@brianna_lynch actually all of is done. They mostly have to test it out
It’s ready they’re just testing it but it can ready for passenger service on spring of 2022

Yup! Have never seen trolleypoll from vintage trains also use the same overhead wires as trolleybuses
So wonderful to see these running again.
Nice to see it run again
I'm so happy that muni is back. I'm going to miss the bredas though
