Very true. Better not to go to Germany. Better to stay at home. There is nothing.
If these are the sincere reasons then yes, Indians should stay in India.
@@mathisnotforthefaintofheart Exactly my thoughts, Indians moving back home as they are not allowed to make noise and disturb others should better stay home.
@@ps4gamer195 true 🤣
I feel that foreign countries are more of a golden cage and i personally would never want to live a life in a golden cage. A life with no friends, neighbours, relatives , social above that you also have to face racism. You feel left out and depressed for the same reason. India is far more better in that sense. One can easily get the same feeling when you go to countries abroad to travel and after a certain point you feel like going back to india. Correct me if i am wrong 😊
You're absolutely right, Bhrat, aisa hi hy. 👍
Its because its our home country. Germany is more of disciplined thats why these things are there. Their history was different and policies are accordingly. So restructions cannot be always viewed as bad. In fact since 3 years, I never faced depression in Germany because I enjoy the peace here and other nature and adventerous things which we hardly find in India. So shaping yourself according to the place will help. Of course our land is our land but we came here with our necessicity.
It's recommended that before you make the move to your new country, you should try to make some friends beforehand. Social Media sites or Hellotalk are useful for the same
True 👍 ✔ 👍 ✔ 👍
@bhrat sharma…Agree with you absolutely….morever i think…if you hv been raised and educated in our homeland…then its our duty to serve our country and contribute actively in developmentof our own country….rather than taking part in development of some other foreign countries…cause you are always a burden for those foreign countries…
Covid had shown us the reality …that when bad time comes…only our homeland protect us….foreign countries always prioritize their own citizen before you….then whats the point in becoming slaves to those countries ….Agree or not??
If someone is planning to come to Germany with their family and their main goal is to work and earn a good income, it's important to consider the following aspects of life and working in Germany:
- German society can be rigid and not always open to other cultures.
- There is a shortage of housing in Germany, making it difficult to find an affordable apartment (Currently, there is a shortage of 700,000 apartments).
- Taxes in Germany are high, with a 25% income tax and a 19% VAT on most goods and services.
- Every household in Germany is required to pay a monthly fee for television and radio, even if you don't own these devices or use them.
- Kindergartens can have long waiting lists, and private options are too expensive.
- It can be difficult to get an appointment with a doctor quickly and if you don't speak German, it can be difficult to receive proper medical treatment.
It's important to think carefully before making the decision to move to Germany.
Then what are the benefits?
@@rishu808 It depend on your personal needs or situation.
So East or west India is the best...no doubt
The income tax goes upto 45 percent depending on how much you earn!
Here is something from an old person: I went to Germany about 60 years ago to study in what was then West Berlin. All the difficulties you describe were there back then too, except that there was NO option to take any courses in English. Almost no one spoke enough english to converse in. The flip side of it was that I became and remain fluent in German and made lots of friends which I still am in contact with although I left Germany after 17 years. My contacts are in large cities as well as villages. After initial difficulties were overcome I fully enjoyed all cultural aspects if the country. I am not attempting to diminish the gravity of problems today’s generation of Indians there face, just presenting what was then barely 18 years after the end of WW II.
wow! loved your positive practical attitude Sir.

factually incorrect, salary and opportunities are pretty good in India, infact, salary to cost ratio is second only to usa, savings are highest in usa, then India is next(while maintaining similar lifestyle)

Lovely video Komal. Lots of detailed inputs for our people who think English gets them anywhere. I studied & lived in Germany for fifteen long years and returned thirty years ago, bcz i foresaw troubles on the long run especially after east and west merged. I am a happy returned Indian now living in Bangalore with excellent memories of days and local friends in Germany - no regrets at all having returned to the warnth of "Bangalore, mere Bharath mahaan"
Having said that, every Indian should gain experience of staying and working abroad then only they will realise and appreciate the freedom and the kind of facilities we get in India.
That's very very true.
What kind of freedom and facilities do you mean?
@@mevig3532 freedom to litter in our surroundings

Right!! People blatantly violate parking rules and litter rules.
Germany follows rules and hence their cities are way cleaner than ours.
German life was tough as a foreigner, no doubt. However, it's full of business and intellectual activities.
You're here for this. As per the video, the following are the main pain points.
✅German Language
✅Less use of internet / technology
✅Excessive paperwork in order to get things done
✅CASH is the KING
✅Indian Food
✅Too much of RULES to follow*
Here key is to learn language (at least B2), make friends (local) be ready for the change.
german language is pain in the a..
You can't save much in germany. I am surprised she didn't mention that!
Very well said. To the point and touching all the important facts. This is true for all western countries except the language barrier. It’s very difficult to stay in cold countries.

Yes, paperwork is crazy as is data costs. 2023 is anyway going to be tough. I did my masters and Ph.D. from Freiburg Br. Loved my years there. It was absolutely fun time. Since I was in Linguistics German proficiency was never an issue. Though I keep coming back to Germany every other year till Covid interruption. Plan to be part of Frankfurt Book Fair next year and with my folks again. You mentioned problems that were related to apartment buildings but some of them aren't there if one is living in a house where apartment rules don't apply. Have a great time.ahead, Komal.
Thank you for the insightful video. I was in Germany in August 2022. Can you please help me know how I can file a court case against Deutsche Bahn? Any information will be helpful.
Every single thing you mentioned in this video is 100% true. I’m here from last 3 months or so and the issues I’m facing here is tremendous. My last assignment was in the UK and as compared to Deutschland, the life there was like a cakewalk.
In simple words I would like to say that If you don’t understand Deutsch, then life is no less than a nightmare here.

I agree with this video but things are somehow different in Berlin. I understand this is more relatable to other German cities,
1. English is not really issue in Berlin. It's there sometimes but most of the time manageable
2. I don't remember any restaurant in Berlin where English menu is not available.
3. I have seen cash issues only in some restaurant, where digital payment is not available or in some small shops. In all supermarket digital payment, just tap and pay.
4. Berlin is full of people and fun. You don't feel that feeling of no people on streets. But i know in rest of Germany most of the time streets are empty.
5. In Berlin most of food places operate till 11. And also some food corners till 5AM. Ex; Visit Mehringedamm any time 24 hrs. Lot of supermarkets are open till 12
6. Supermarkets, malls and offices are closed on Sundays. Everything else like restaurant, small shops are all open on Sunday in Berlin.
6. Low sun in winter and that feel of low on energy is a fact in any cold country.
7. You will never ever feel lonely in Berlin. Unless you really don't talk to anyone.
Berlin is THE german city for Homesick Desis.👌

Thank you for the details Komal. Really appreciate it.
You showed the actual realities of Germany because my children are also facing these problems and l wish that in 2023 will be good for all .
Very true. While some of the inconveniences are common to other European nations (like everything closed on Sundays, high taxes), I must say that the lack of digitization, the huge amount of bureaucracy, and slowness hit me the hardest. I have lived many years in France and in Belgium before moving to Germany. But admin stuff there was a cakewalk compared to what I have faced in Germany.
And i am leaving germany today. watching this video from frankfrut airport. I am much happier in dubai. Dubai is such a vibrant city and whatever you earn will be credited to your bank account without cutting even a penny as tax. Some the best part i am going to enjoy after leaving germany :
1. No tax cut
2. Food
3. No more waiting for OTP via post
4. No more waiting for doctors appoinment like 4-5 days

💯 agree !
Same happened to me Sadly.
Good explanation of facts!
If you are young and ready to learn the ways of life in Germany, then you have a lot of possibilities.
There are many indians living in Germany since years-, only because they have a good life. You pay high taxes, but you get lot of general facilities. Unlike in India. Education is generally free.
It would be a good idea if you make a separate video on economic projections on Germany
Sure..will try to make a separate video on the same 👍
Amazing and very interesting. Superb video . Wish you best wishes for your next video.

I was planning to come to germany for further studies after my 12th class approx 5 to 6 months later and after watching this idk but i m having fear of something so please can you suggest me will it be better for me to come to germany or not..??
Is it better to do BBA + MBA from india or it will be better to do both of these from germany..??
I left Germany 2 weeks back, it's highly expensive even with good salaries you struggle to do the savings plus food problem plus racisim, this is ground report, better to avoid this country
Correct. Very accurate. People may earn more than in Asia - but they also SPEND more. So it becomes almost the same equation (it depends where you come from. For people from Pakistan or China, I can understand that they need to immigrate. But for Indians - there is no excuse, no need to leave your beautiful country!). Further - there are very serious problems in Europe - like racism, violence and the police not helping. If you fall sick, you will be put on a waiting list - the chances are that you will see God before you get to see a doctor.
@@FairWorld11 i have been living in germany about 7 years . Its true what are you saying no friends ,racism , high Taxes and not really welcoming culture

Komal, you have summarised and articulated all the information that anyone who wants to move to Germany needs. Especially a few of my acquaintances who are euphoric about moving to Germany with 0 knowledge of the language. When we who have settled in Germany and been through the highs and lows of life here, explain how important language is here plus the way of life that you need to be prepared for, we are judged as demotivating and jealous(??? Seriously!!??) and "Germany kya tumhara hai" dialogue. I even once got chided with half information that people with English are more in demand here (??!!! - kisne kaha??? Just because people get hired from India through an interview in English, they think the world is in their palms) and people with German skills are the ones who are getting fired (hiring and firing is a usual thing here, that's what some people don't know before they move here). From a simple thing as shopping in a supermarket to visiting a doctor, life presents you with a reality check and questions your Angrezi education. You need a lot of resilience to continue persisting here, and most importantly, learn the language. Only then you can find some stability and self-respect in your job. Otherwise it only lands one in the cycle of frustration - this is not to be explained, only to be experienced. It's not the fairyland that Bollywood movies show you. Please don't assume that arriving in Germany is your ticket to flooding your insta and FB with your pics in Switzerland, Austria, Belgium etc. There are more tourists from India every year to Europe than immigrants. A tourist will be given a place anywhere in the world because of the money they bring to the tourism industry of that country. BUT If you are here to make your career and contribute to the economy, no one cares about your English. To what extent one can go on placing one's own country below another foreign country only depends on the size of the bubble they are living in. Once the bubble bursts reality hits hard.

Austria is not the same. For language you need german also..weather is better than some parts of Germany but yes winter is gloomy for sure. Rest every thing is same as Germany.
Hello, your videos are so informative. :) Do you know information regarding 'German Language visa' ? Its so hard to find info relating to this visa from India..
Okay, when we talk about things that are being addressed here, german language - it's actually a good thing they want everyone to learn german. After all you're living in their country, the least you could do is learn their culture and language. It's okay if you don't want to, but it is a need. Regarding paper work - it's actually a very good thing to maintain physical copies of certain things. It makes more sense rather than paying digitally. I personally prefer this old style. It's more like preserving the things we've always followed. Next comes food - so obviously there aren't as many Indians in germany as much as they're in countries like US, UK, Canada and Australia. So I think it's still okay because Germany is not even an option considered here for moving, few don't even know Germany has no tuition fees. And about people. I have always felt really uncomfortable around many people and it's actually good that weekends are meant to rest. About not disturbing people, it's extremely organising and it's respecting others privacy. It's called common sense lol. Lastly about inflation. It's not only Germany it's the entire world so?.. yeah
Very informative and research oriented video👍✨🙌
Thank you 😊

Super helpful video! I've been living in Netherlands for few years now. Most things are same here too, except the 'paperwork' part.
I would say this, if someone has a chance to live & work in Western European countries, then purely for the experience & exposure its worth taking the pain. 5-6 years spent here, can set you up for success, which 5-6 years in India cannot.
Plz explain it in details
Hi sir
please help/guide me to get a job there i am MBA in marketing having 6 years experience in sales marketing customer service.
Job seeker would be better options?
Are you looking for a job?
In comparison of other country I would like to mention that Germany is still the best country to move
1. Less educational expenses(too much less compared to US Canada UK Australia)
2. Easy and faster to get German passport (faster than US Canada UK Australia)
3.More Jobs than Canada (unless you really want to become truck driver in Canada or work in Restaurants and Paan shops run by indian )
4.Germany is still cheaper than Netherlands from cost of living perspective
5. Germany has a huge manufacturing market pending to be digitalized that means more jobs in engineering,IT jobs Data science , cloud,IOT , software development, devops etc ..
Please neglect language barriers, they are not really obstacle that should be so much emphasized as it's being mentioned here
In Bigger cities Like Berlin and Hamburg people speak English at work .
Anyone watching this video should focus on their professional skills and reasons to be in Germany for longer period of time rather than focusing on these factors
Because if you have professional skills , anyone could easily survive here
These reasons mentioned here in this video are implied the time when you decide to leave India , it is nothing new or strange and it has always been like this before years and will be like this after years
I have been living in Hamburg from past 1 year .I am CTO of startup .my German language fluency is up to A2.
It's all good here
Noone mocks me if I don't speak German instead they accept and try to understand in English
For written communication I use Google translate
Life is smooth .I work hard .I don't complain
I don't know about future as noone does
Just FYI Germany is fourth largest economy in world and one of the strongest in Europe
So don't get mislead
