For me I knew I was an alcoholic because the way I drank. Did I want to get sober? Yes and I didn't want to do the work. It took me 3 times of retreading before I got a clue.

Anthony has said in the past if his Father was alive he would have never cooperated. This is Merlino’s point. A man doesn’t rat on his friends. If he does he is not a good guy. I like Joey's broadcasts: he can tell a great story, tho he rarely does; he has a wit and style all his own; and he has the voice.

Anthony, I disagree with what Joey and them guys do for a living 100%. With that said you know that in that life a “Good man” is defined by standing up when the time comes. He can’t have a platform going after informants and go after guys that spent their whole lives in the can.

most if not just about every mobster podcast, the guests go into detail about everything they every did. so Joey, not giving up any info for the most part, these podcast dudes don't know how to react. years ago I got booked & the cops wanted info about some neighborhood shit, they were so sure I was gonna tell they would have bet on it. when I told them FOH they looked shocked, shocked that I wouldn't talk. so talking, cooperating, ratting, whatever you wanna call it, is accepted, and worse expected nowadays. so Joey not saying anything is a shock to alot of these podcast dudes.
