I agree about the chemistry. It was a sad day when he and the bass player split up. There seemed to be some tension between them but they were so in sync with each other musically.
This entire tune just sounds like someone fighting a tremendous battle with themselves in their own head. And everything is perfect. The pressure building, the release, the weariness after. Even the drums sounding like the tick-tock of the clock. It’s truly perfect.

Bonamassa is my Absolute Favourite , Let´s say "Modern" Blues Player , of all times ...and i Adore the old Classic´s like Hendrix , Clapton , Blackmore and All the others ... But i´ve seen Joe Bonamassa Live and i will NEVER forget ....specially when he´s playing some Cream stuff /Clapton .. He´s AWESOME !!
I love those violin swells and the trills in the solo. Sometimes I miss some of these raw elements in Joe's latest playing...in my opinion the new Joe is awesome and much more professional but lost some of his early experimental style.
Agree 100%. I love the vintage style, but I also loved the silver jubilee + 3 amps, + all the delays and chorus and all that stuff. to me it was just as good!
I agree, this was more interesting to me than what he does now. Don't get me wrong I saw him play 3 hours in Nashville and never miss a note, however........ this is a more exciting style and I do love the Marshall tone.
Thank you for putting into words what I've been feeling about Joe's latest and newest musical style. I've been addicted to Joe's guitar soul music since I discovered him in June of 2016 on some SIRIUS XM station. But what really drew me to his music was the old time Chicago, Louisiana (and the rest of the South), Philadelphia, Motown, and Zydeco and/or Cajun. Joe's a true prodigy and I really would hate to see his wonderful, God-given talent wasted on music he was never meant to play. Joe plays the blues and the blues play Joe. And I'm so glad I found him!! The music world had been looking a bit anemic since the mid 90's. Now maybe some other blues guitarists will follow his lead and develop music using their own talent and motivation and we can all "celebrate, celebrate. Dance to the music." (Three Dog Night) Till then I just keep punching my playlist stations. Thanks for a knowledgeable comment!!
Joe B. Power Trio sounds like a blues-rock should sound, loud and clear and ripping our hearts! This lineup in concert where he played E. Clapton's signature ''SuperStrat'' was like a knockout to all the shitty music they've been poisoning us with on TV for last 40 years. Thank you Joe.
People can say anything about JB. But for me he is the finest blues rock player of modern guitar world. He definitely shreds with passion, but it gives also importance to the notes, it's not only about speed. It's so intimidating try to play one of his solo with the same intensity.
Definitely.. on my list ... The Best .. we all have our tastes and preferences.. I have found my number one already years ago and he is just getting better and better 😊
For being such a Gibson guy, he has the best Strat pinky swells of anyone I've ever heard. That is a crazy specific skill, for those of you who don't play. His strat period was dope.
Saw Joe at the DPAC in Durham, NC in November of 2010 (hard to believe it's been almost 10 years). It's one of the best concerts I've ever attended, which is saying a lot since my first concert was Led Zeppelin in 1975 at the Greensboro Coliseum at age 14 with 100's more between 1975 and 2010. Blues Deluxe is one of my favorites from Joe (with "If heartaches were nickles" a close 2nd), and as good of a version as this one is I still kind of favor the one floating around on YT from Denver, CO from 2003.
If I closed my eyes, I would have thought Mr Bonamassa was playing a violin at the beginning . Beautiful 💕 What’s the story with the gold guitar? Haven’t seen him with it before. Oh yea! I’ve got it bad too. Barbie
That was back before he had all the vintage gear. He was playing like 4 amps at at once and had a crazy signal chain. I believe this is just a recent strat with a custom paint job. There's a few videos of him with it!
People who hate on bonamassa are just pissed of he is that good...blues is as hard or as easy as you want it to be how you play it is up to you ..to master it all is something special. His attention to detail and knowledge of the music and the players is tremendous. He means every note he plays and does it flawlessly.
And it's pretty nuts how the bass player is "framing" the notes of the guitar solo so well. He keeps a note just long enough(or just short enough), not a single misplaced note.
I'd like to know the story behind that guitar too, haven't seen it before. I have to say though, the "Face Melting..." in the title cracked me up. It was right too! *proceeds to mop face up off my floor*
What a BADASS! The King of swells. How did he play like that with all those cameras almost touching him? I know he has "red light syndrome" according to him lol. He was on David Letterman and he said when that camera came live he played EVERY note he knew. 😂❤ Just love him at every stage of his growth. "The River" is my favorite version at this same performance.
Christmas Boogie...I'd Rather be a Blind Girl ( with Beth Hart) ...Midnight Blues...I'll Play the Blues For You ..Summertime by Joanne Shaw Taylor ( with Joe Bonamassa) An Acoustic Evening at Carnegie Hall...these will give you an idea of JB's talent and capabilities. And open all the doors to his musics..enjoy!
Bonamassa's best band! Too bad the sound gets FUBARed right around 6:20 and then comes back around 7:45. This entire concert at the Rockpalast is extraordinary and may be the best of his performances that I've seen (and I've seen quite a few). Kenny Kram and Eric Czar are just fantastic as well! ⚡👍🥴⚡
This was my favorite Bonamassa line up....there was just a certain chemistry that could blow up any room..
I agree about the chemistry. It was a sad day when he and the bass player split up. There seemed to be some tension between them but they were so in sync with each other musically.
As a trio they were untouchable
Best line-up for sure. Also I hate that he never uses a strat anyymore...
Maybe the best Bonamassa trio
This entire tune just sounds like someone fighting a tremendous battle with themselves in their own head. And everything is perfect. The pressure building, the release, the weariness after. Even the drums sounding like the tick-tock of the clock. It’s truly perfect.
I Can't Believe This Is 16 Years Old Already JB's Best Concert AND Band, What An Amazing Trio!!
I agree, this trio doesn't need anyone else on stage. Beyond amazing!!
When I am down, I Listen to his Music and it keeps me going again. Thanks Joe.
vera hes feel the same wat

Yes!
The greatest Stratocaster of all time...so glad I saw him play this guitar live!!!
Joe at the top of his game. Absolutely fantastic concert. He should go back to the power trio setup
My favourite version of Joe!!! All things Joe are great, but I love it when he plays the strats.
Bonamassa is my Absolute Favourite , Let´s say "Modern" Blues Player , of all times ...and i Adore the old Classic´s like Hendrix , Clapton , Blackmore and All the others ...

I bet he’ll be like BB eventually and start doing shows that have a variety.
You only have to stick with him he's a messiah of guitar

Beautiful!! Can't even imagine sitting there live. Amazing, simply amazing.
The beast of blues !!! Love him with a strat
prefer with a Les Paul!
@@feuquegougueul1592 he's fantastic with both, he had more energy in the era of his strat and early Les Paul days

Two of the Best Guitar players ever seen ❤
Joe is incredible here...just a savage

Wow! Just Wow! Not much more i can say about Joe Bonamassa...total package.
I'm going to go ahead and say it....THE BEST GUITARIST EVER!!!!!!
Every video of him I watch makes me continue to agree with you 😂
He is!!!!

Sweet sounds🎸 like magic therapy for the soul!

This was an incredible concert. I wish these guys had stayed together. Eric Czar is extremely underrated on bass.
He's really not, he's highly rated.
I agree, I know Joe has moved on, but this trio is like no other, ever! Beyond amazing!!
that magic you can do with a simple strat... incredible!
Blues is like a master chef taking very simple ingredients and making a dish that you would die for.
A verdadeira formação do Bonamassa! Existia uma conexão absurda desses caras, Bonamassa sempre genial, único, uma besta das guitarras...❤

@@alexanderwalther7302 I'm sure I saw a video at some point of him showing it off, I think it was just called "Joe bonamassa on strats"

Blues isn't played with the hands and fingers, it's played with the soul led by the spirit.
A Master at work!
I'm looking forward to seeing Joe and the band this Summer at Hampton Beach in NH. Safe travels!
Bravo Joe! 👏👏👏👏👏👏We can’t wait to hear what you have in store for us in March! ❤️😎
My favorite song by Bonomasa. 👏 wow
Schön, Joe hier noch mit seiner alten Bandbesetzung, wie ich ihn auch kennen lernte. Erstmals schon im Jahr 2003 in Hamburg im Downtown Bluesclub.
Outstanding ....
Wish like HELL I had been there! Didn't even know about Joe then. 🎸 😎 🎤 Missed so much, but trying to make up for lost time. 🎟
If that don't get your juices moving then you ain't alive.

When The Maestro plays.. damn.. it sounds like this... something unbelievably good 😊
On Fire y'all. very impressive and a bit different of Mr Bonamassa (and Band), than I've seen before. Great. :))
Johnny Winter and Gary Moore are Proud!!!!!!!🎸😎

With Eric Csar on bass, it was the best line up Joe has ever !
