The mood among Tory MPs since Nigel Farage announced he was standing for Reform has been “very bad” says Patrick Maguire, Times Radio’s senior political correspondent. It’s a “mood of fatalism and anxieties”.

The cracks were showing as soon as Cameron lost the ref even though the only reason they had a majority was because of the referendum. Then May tried to lose the election. Then Boris removed, Truss removed and the members ignored and Sunak selected.

There is a museum in Munich where the Brown House was, you need to go there and perhaps it will give you a glimpse of how terrifying Germany was in the 20s and 30s. What we see now, while worrying is no where near the scale that it was then.

Excuse me I have a further comment. I was born in England. I no longer consider myself a member/product of any single country. Like all my heritage is mixed.
I had serious difficulty living in London during the mid eighties. Some may still remember Thatcher's rain of terror on democracy.
However that is just a side note. I stopped bothering with UK politics when it left the EU. Seriously making my English passport worthless.
