I've been rocking Rainbows for 20 years. Their older sandals definitely lasted longer, just like most things these days. I just upgraded to these new Luxury Leather high-arch sandals, same as you made my first purchase direct from Rainbow. The extra arch support is nice, but man, my feet feel sweaty in this "luxury" leather. I've never had this issue with the classic Rainbows. Have you noticed this?

I had rainbow for about 4 months now, and I weigh like 300lbs.. I wear my sandals everyday in my house, and to the gym... like literally 5 to6 hours a day... after 4 months my rainbows look exactly like your pair from 2005... I'm convinced that I need a second pair just incase...

I used to think Sneaker collectors only wore their shoes once and put them away due to how much the shoes deteriorate. Turns out if was just so they could have a collection. Every pair of sneakers I had wouldn't last that long. The material if you were lucky would last a year before they would wear out entirely. Not every brand is like that, but even when keeping them in good order I found they wouldn't last.

Great review bro! I bought a pair earlier this week after a buddy recommended rainbows to me and they’re the most comfortable footwear I’ve ever walked in. I’m a big time flip flop wearer during the summer so I know comfort and arch support when I see it. I might even buy another pair. I just need a new pair of shorts that go with the rainbows. 😂😂😂😂😂 Keep flip flopping bro!

I had one that lasted more than 10yrs, got wet and been sitting out on balcony when i got into sneakers. It cracked and bent into shape where i couldnt put my feet in. But i do miss rainbow everyday

I grew up Rainbow sandals in SoCal on the beach in the water. I didn’t know. They held up, just looked really broken in. They’re yours. lol. So do ya hey make a new “for the water” version or who does offer the comfort & basic style?

Excellent video. Very good review! I like this kind of content and learning about different experiences. I'm actually surprised how the second 2018 model has deteriorated much more than the first model. I use flip flops a lot and the rainbow ones are also one of the best I've tried, together with the reef and olukai. I use the classic model of rainbow with less thickness like the one in your first pair and I like to wear them a lot for going out or dressing up as they go with everything. I have also tried the rubber ones and I recommend them a lot when you have to wear them and get wet with water. Looking at this latest model you bought I think they are much better and more durable. It is true that they always fade due to the humidity of the feet but they give the impression that they last longer and are more resistant. In the case of these double layer pairs, as they are thicker, Do you think that when they get wet with water they will wear less? I would like to see more videos of these and the progress of using these new double layer pairs. Very nice work.

I have these and I love them, unfortunately the thicker leather keeps delaminating and it’s really disappointing.

I got a pair of the black leather one & for some reason the straps that go in between your toes at the top of my foot it gives me a red spot & it's very discomfort to wear. I can't wear them because of it hurting my foot when I wear them. I wish I knew how to fit it. This was a great review thank you for sharing it.

Great video, I wear all brands of flip flops, and rainbows is one of my favourites and I've had several pairs for almost 10 years. And it's true what you say, the last ones don't have the same quality as the first ones. At the moment I have four pairs of leather like yours, but in different shades, the dark browns and black conceal the moisture better ... I would recommend if you get them wet a lot or work on the grass, the rubber rainbows, which are just as comfortable and water resistant. Your new double layer pairs, which I have never tried, are they as resistant as the others?
