I bought all 6 number of the Rio Grande GP40 and 2 of the WP. These are really nice. On west end of the D&RGW, GP40's were pretty common since the tunnel motors were mainly on the Front Range in the 70's.
@@jlwii2000 I had sold a lot of surplus trains to raise the scratch for these. The GP40's were primary power across the system (43 GP40's and 37 GP40-2 and an additional 23 2nd hand GP40's added in 1984). Did you buy all those ScaleTrains GP40's or are they just on loan for review cause that's quite the mix! Drop by the Atlas forums when you get chance! Cheers, Jim
As usual you do a good review! Keep up the good work! Also, I enjoy your visits to the manufactures and especially the Hobbie shops! There's always something new and exciting out. There and you do a good job bringing it to us! I would like to know how many engines you have? This is what I'm interested in the most! Maybe you would do a review on them! It would be much appreciated! As a former Railroader, I'm grateful for all you do, thanks agaun!
Scale trains seem to get better each year. Very nice
Incredible engines. Nice review James!
Love that Rio Grande. Been wanting the long nose -2.. but I love this one as well. What a gorgeous paint scheme! Thanks for another top notch review!
They’re out now for preorder on the website!

Nice to see the Milwaukee road units have the electronic bell on top.
Wow, GP 40's one of my favorites. Gret review, Jersey Bill
I wonder how this GP40 from Scale Trains will stack up to Rapido's version 🤔 when they show up!
I might do a head to head comparison if I have time.
You should start showing a chart at the end of the video comparing pulling power, weight, etc of different locomotives
On the Milwaukee Road GP40's, the cab side plaque is crooked. "The Milwaukee Road" should be level.
