I love your videos! Thanks for the good times you make for me! I can’t fish much anymore so keep up the videos, I’m in the boat with you in my mind! I’m nearly 80 years old, but I fish whenever I can. Thanks Steve!!!
Another great show Steve. A little trick I've enjoyed over a number of years with Berkley Gulp type products is to air-dry 'em for a bit to toughen 'em up. Works great for both Salt/Fresh, large/small size. Now, the smaller baits that are "bent" = no sweat. Take a long length of wire, paper clip, and string em up straight while they air-dry. Put 'em back in their jar/bag's juice and there you have the Perfect bait Sir! Keep staying active Steve...getting "mature" ain't for no Sissies, especially "solo".
Gotta love watching and listening to an hour long episode to get you through your night shift at work! Always anticipate it and enjoy it my friend. I wasn't sure how the gold heads would work i prefer black or silver or white, but the gold was on super sale so I had to go for it. Take care
Great video, I've been watching your graph and I know the top numbers are the depth but I don't know what the next four line of numbers are? It looks like those Perch are kinda scattered horizontal along the bottom now, I just wonder when the water temperature gets colder if they won't school tighter and the charlie brewer jig's will work better?
Good video. When I was down there at monticello 2 weeks ago I caught some big cats jigging for perch. I even caught a big stinking turtle. As big as a tire. Good luck next time on the water.
Hey Steve, I’ve never used those one inch gulp alive minnows up here in Wisconsin, but I’m curious, do you need to fish them on a jig head with a barbed collar to hold the tail on the head when you’re vertically jigging them, or can you use a jig head with no bait keeper. I’d imagine if you’re casting them any distance and retrieving them, they’d need constant rethreading and repositioning, but fishing below the boat, maybe not. I’m gonna try them through the ice this winter and none of my ice jig heads have bait keepers or collars.
Yes my friend, was going to write you and tell you how much I appreciate what you did for me. Thanks so much for the Don't Quit poem it was very inspirational and the two dollar bill was a good reminder. Again thank so much and God Bless.

Have not tried the gold heads yet. Thanks for sending them to me.
Thx for sharing OF!!
You bet!
Steve next spring when I get ready to go crappie fishing I'm going to say let's stir them up.
Sounds good, it helps sometimes.
dang man that first catfish made your rod bend like you hooked into Jaws!!
That’s a really light action rod
The chartreuse color of gulp minnow is killer too but they can be hard to find in stock sometimes
I've got some but have not tried them yet.
I Just got back a little bit ago from walleye fishing, and i got one nice size walleye ...
Peace 🕊️ and may you have a merry Christmas...
Thanks, you too!
12:27 nice cat. Gonna ha good eats to nite!
Believe it or not I let him go.

The Charlie Brewers will work now but you gotta stick with it. The colder the water the slower you move it.

That is awesome! Thanks for watching my friend

Most welcome sir 😊
Those cats sure like to bite in the winter
Really? I've been skunked lately, using night crawlers
@@pyguy9915 only for the old fisherman. Not is mere mortals
They hit better on shad in the winter.
Hey were did you get that bucket you throw fish in
It's 1/3 of a 55 gallon plastic drum, I found a drum and cut it with a sawzall.
18;08 the kitty was talking to ya now
Yes he was. You got to love catfish talk.
