Hi! Awesome channel, been watching your videos all day! I am struggling with my sizing for tumblers. If i do 3:2 AR, the graphic is quite a bit longer than it is tall in comparison to the 9.3 x 8.2" tumbler. If i scale the image to fit my tumbler template I have to cut down the width which no longer makes it seamless. What do you suggest? I noticed when you downloaded your image it appeared to be 3:2 but when you opened it with Photopea it was almost the exact ratio as the tumbler. Am i missing somthing? Thank you so much!!!
Thanks for watching! So for a 9.3 x 8.2" tumbler size..its probably best to do the design with an aspect ratio (ar) of 5:4 as it's the closest to your wrap size. I would then take it to photopea and use the same tool I used in my tapered video to drag the design to the edges. You are correct..cropping the design would make it unsuitable as it wouldn't be seamless. I would also double check that your design is seamless with an online pattern checker similar to one I use in my vids once you made the changes. I may do a video on this to explain it visually..as it's a great question. Good luck!! 🙌
Thank you so much! I don't actually have a video that shows the process of uploading & listing on Etsy...but I will definitely do this soon, as quite a few people have asked me this lately. Thanks again for watching. 🙌
Thank you for the video! I really enjoyed it. I was wondering if you had any tips or suggestions on how to achieve a truly seamless design on a tumbler. I've tried creating seamless patterns, but when I apply them to the tumbler models on Printify, the result is always the same with visible seams. Is there a way to overcome this issue and achieve a flawless design?
Thanks for kind comments! I would say to firstly double check that the design is in fact seamless using a pattern checker like the one I show in some of my videos, then ensure you have clicked the 'pattern' button in printify as you add the design to the product template, to ensure it is created flawlessly. This should work and can be seen on the mock up with no visible line. Check out my other tumbler design video which shows this process, it can be found in the tumbler playlist. I hope that helps!
I think it's best to make patterns seamless, or you may get negative reviews from customers. It's not difficult to create a seamless pattern...check out my pattern playlist! 🙌
When you’re placing the image on the template and have to expand it to meet the edges of the template doesn’t that no longer make it seamless?? Or does the image have to be made exactly to fit the template?
Hi there, so if you are talking about the straight edge tumbler, the expansion to the size of the template still keeps it seamless, you are just making it to the correct size. If you are talking about the tapered you need to use the 'warp' tool in photopea for seamless pattern designs and push the designs inline with the template, that way it stays seamless. I hope that makes sense...just follow the steps in the video, as I have tried to show how to keep it seamless.
Hard to explain, but it would probably need me to do a video on it. To start with it's easier if you do ready made completed designs which can be used as they are. Editable ones can be on another listing you do later. Take it step by step.

Yes my man, I made a tapered one before you made this video today but I’m looking forward to watch this
Another amazing video! Do you have a tutorial on how to list the digital files on Etsy?
Thank you so much! I don't actually have a video that shows the process of uploading & listing on Etsy...but I will definitely do this soon, as quite a few people have asked me this lately. Thanks again for watching. 🙌

what do you do about patterns that are not seamless but still wrap around the whole mug and don't match up? is that ok ?

How do we compete with the 300+ bundles?
300 is a lot, but it's possible to produce a lot of designs on midjourney quite quickly, and if you have a template it can be done.
How do you make editable Canva templates ones ?
Hard to explain, but it would probably need me to do a video on it. To start with it's easier if you do ready made completed designs which can be used as they are. Editable ones can be on another listing you do later. Take it step by step.
