I'm pretty sure the spike slopes kill you when your red hitbox hits the blue part instead of with normal slopes when blue touches blue
Tip for placing brick blocks: place the ones without hitboxes all rotated the same way and put outlines around them

12:07 One little tip: if you’d like to do this in another level you can always use slider limit bypass and give the slopes negative scale thus removing their hitboxes.
it doesn't remove their hitboxes, but makes them 1 pixel big

i might try and verify this :D
Idea: 1- set up a command block that spawns zombies in a specific area of your choice;
2- copy that command block and put 10 of them next to each other,
3- wire all the command blocks to a lever using redstone,
4- flick the lever and enjoy the loud sound of your PC's fan! (and your game can't recover from that if you have the command block on for more than 15-20 seconds.)

the slope ground spike really depend on the gamemode. if you are a wave, it does nothing cuz its just a red slope hitbox. but if you are a cube or a ship or a ufo it will kill you
