Being from the Netherlands, I'm honestly disgusted at this cheese-cutting animation. Not only is the cheese being cut from the side, the character isn't even cutting with the sharp part of the kaasschaaf! Absolutely unacceptable.

Never got into TF2, but this type of run and stab vibe is something I've been dying to have in a newer game. I'm just so bad at creative movement, but the melee is way more fun than the shooting imo.

The style is just amazing. And I couldn't help but stop to look at the stands sometimes, because the fact that this is intentionally made to look like a giant fighting tournament just feels surreal.
Surprisingly, I feel that the knife is quite balanced. Can one shot lights and mediums (and nearly kill heavies) but has a short range, lengthy swing speed, and practically no facestab damage. Considering how the cloaking device doesn’t perfectly cloak you and the light’s low health combined with all the sonar and fire based gadgets, and I can definitely respect anyone who uses this thing well.
I'm so happy you're using the cheese inspect! How does it feel to have the inspect being a continuous input vs. how many other games do it where you just press a button once and then the inspect plays out by itself?
By the way this game has the stylish aesthetic and combat sports arena feel I've been waiting for since the gunz the duel and s4 league days! Keep up the amazing work.

Movement and gunplay is a bit janky I don't think turning kills into gold looks as good as they think, CSGO ragdoll physics are far superior and look way cooler on kills (bodies flying around etc) Overall still looking promising. Hope new FPS games like this keep coming up because all fps game modes feel stale now (even though genre has limitless potential)
Games with shield or turtling are more respectable cause they care a bit more for diversity / variety is the spice of life, most mid-managers just want high-octane hype inducing gameplay cause "esports" are free advertisements. If Overwatch 2 had faster movement speed and more verticality via like interactables like the jump pod or character skills this would be basically that. Also, not everyone are not epileptic or not down-syndrome so they need simpler gameplay.
You are aware that there is straight up a riot-shield weapon for the medium right? Wouldn’t that mean they would just be using that instead? You gotta know when it’s safe to go for a backstab in any fps game, and the same goes here. You can’t just run in with your pants down expecting to wipe an entire team, so sometimes it’s best to just hang back and wait.

Oh I enjoy it being a physical press rather than it just playing out so I have full control when to start or stop it, plus it's stimulating haha
