For a beginner, what BSR and eScore combination would you use as a cutoff to make sure they sell quickly enough to profit as soon as possible?
Great video! A video in grading books would be awesome, I'm afraid of not grading a book correctly. Like I have this book where the inside is in perfect new condition but the cover is a little bit beat up and creased. Does that mean it can only be sold as acceptable condition?

Hi man. I use the standard amazon seller app. I'm in the UK, tho will be moving into mainland europe in a few years. So i got my scanner this week, and yesterday went scanning for the first time. Wish i had watched this before i went, excellent information. I definitely needed this to help me understand how to read everything on this app! Quick question: i have the database downloaded... do u need to update it every so often so that the info is up to date?
You should update it daily
It would be less counter intuitive Camel and Keepa would turn their charts upside down so sales would be an upspike. I guess I can just turn my phone upside down
You can flip the spikes in both apps but it doesn't make sense the way you say because sales make items have lower sales rank number (better), so the reason it's displayed like this is because the lower numbers are on the bottom. I know you think it's better but it's counter intuitive because then the bottom of the graph has larger numbers
Hey Reezy, I see that the app shows the FBA profit but does that change with how much you pay for the book?
I can't thank you enough for this video. I'm new to this booking seller world and I was not understanding the reject note. I'm thrilled that it has been showing a lot in this video and you explained what it means. Having a look in the charity today, I left on the shelf a book that showed a profit of £16 but was signalising as rejected, I'm going back tomorrow to buy it as the cost to buy was £1.95.

Does ScoutIQ take into account all of the AMZ fees that will be taken out per book? Before calculating profit?

Reezy! When pricing your books, how important is the Buy Box for you? My partner and I are kinda butting heads when it comes to this. From everything else I've been seeing from all the other videos/articles on UA-cam/Google, people say the BuyBox is king. Are we undercutting too much when always going for the BB? Is the BB actually king when it comes to making a sale?
Any insight would be appreciated!

I have scout iq, i purchased for $44 . Helium10 sucks. If this tool helps me earn $1500- $3000 a month then mission accomplished. Sorry, fba doesn't do for me.

The scout iq is good enough. i notice if the reject book happens if its grey it usually indicates the book will sell. If it rejects and is red it depends when it is bought. If the book is approved, I am going for 40% or more, absolutely, I know something better on the books and stuff. Price doesn't mean really anything. It's the value.

How do you set up the app the first time? All I see is a screen that says “email, password, log in”. Nothing about setting up new.
Does the condition of the book play into this? With text books people like to write in them does that matter. How messed up can a book be? Or is it all just judgement calls you gotta make?

I’m a PL seller with 2 products in my store but I’m getting into the RA space to make more $$$. Been watching your vids a lot more here lately and they’re helping a ton (I’ll be using your affiliate link too you hustler ;) anyway, I did have a quick question, after I put my books or whatever on Amazon and the quantity sells out, should I just remove the listing? What’s missing from scout iq is the average sales rank..... a rank could b 300K at the moment but if the avg rank is 5 million that’s not good.....
Scout IQ doesn’t need average rank because they have escore - I know it’s hard to make sense of it because you’re coming from average rank, but escore is a better indicator of sellability than average rank. FBAScan sales count is faulty too, do a comparison
Can I list the books for used buy box prices if I am doing merchant fulfilled ?
Yes but I wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re actively getting the buy box which you can do as a merchant fulfilled seller
I'm confused, the profit from the scout IQ is that the amount u gained total profit after FBA fee deductions? Because I scanned the same book in the amazon seller app and I got a book for a profit of 5$ for scout IQ and on the amazon seller app it says I lose profit because of the FBA fulfillment
You’re likely looking at the wrong target offer, I may have been doing math in my head as well. On top of that, prices fluctuate and this is an older video

Escore is minimum number of days and item has sold at least one copy a day in past 6 months

Yes or leave it blank and do it in your head (if the prices are varied where you’re at) - if the books are sold
By weight, add the per lb cost into your per lb shipping estimate 🧠

Scoutiq has database for books, Scoutify is live only. Scoutify is free if you subscribe to inventory lab , hard to compare the two, I use both
How are you calculating profit for all these if you arent putting in what you bought it for?
Likely taking it out in my head, or I set it in the app, usually places you go, the books are all $2 or $1 or whatever. And if they’re varied, just set it to $0 and do head math

Also recommend the KCD200 - I've had two opticons and they both crapped out on me
Opticonis my choice since it has lasted me over 1 year no issues I bought the refurbished Kdc200i one for like $50 but it did not hold a charge well after 6 months but the price is a difference $250 vs $50

I’ve been looking into the keepa charts lately for books and other items. I used to buy things based only on the used buy box price and rank, but I figure it makes more sense to utilize keepa. I’ve noticed a lot of times keepas price may be like 3$ all the way across but the buy box prices are say 20$ does this imply that the book most likely would sell for $3 and you would therefore reject it? For a dollar book, I may buy but for more expensive items, it makes me question it . . . Hope my question makes sense.
Keepa cannot track the price an item sold for, only the price it was listed at in various ways when it sold, you don’t know which offer sold or which price. They all share the same rank

recently i’ve been having ScoutIQ tell me “no results” for several books that, when scanned with FBAScan, bring up the book with no issue. Anyone else having the same issue?
I have never experienced this, if you run into this again, can you lease forward me the ISBN/UPC so I can send them to the developer to make sure it gets fixed?
I’ve had the same issues on several occasions. C. Roth is continuously updating database to resolve this.
We're crowdsourcing the database - currently at 23 million ISBNs and counting! Make sure you set up your MWS credentials on our web portal (app.scoutiq.co) to enable live lookups. Once you do this, anything not in our database will get logged and added back in at a later date. Holler if you have additional questions!

You can just use your phone w the amazon seller app even, a scanner or a proper app will surely speed you up, but start slow, you need to prove to yourself you want it before you invest in tools. That’s just my opinion tho

Hey Reezy, at video frame 7:50 you scan a book and analyzed on keepa and that chart was orange out indicating amazon been selling that product and it doesn't seem like it did not defer the decision to not to buy it, since we're selling used books, we should not worry about amazon having BB?

You still recommend investing in all the long tail low profit items even with the new storage fees? They're getting really high now Reez. If I'm not mistaken, it's 50 cents per item after a year. Also, whenever you review software like ScoutIQ, I always hope you're working with the developers giving them feedback that they can incorporate to make their programs better. Who better to help improve these tools but a top seller like yourself.
