    Thanks for the review. Funnily enough, I'm looking for new boots to go fish with my dad in the north GA mountains (I live in Macon he is in Clarkesville).

    Hi, I have not had a pair of Simms boots where the laces have not frayed before the end of the season, its a fact that our local sports store appreciates as they stock para cord on big spools to help out all the anglers. It’s caused by the lack of attention to detail when they use the four lace hooks that have the sharp edges. Learned all about that when we did Artic Warfare training in Norway in the sixties. Can’t make mistakes with skiing boots in the Artic! I do most of my fishing on the volcanic plateau of N Z so rock and iron sand seems to wreck all wading boots in one season. However, my hunting boots and gear seem to last in the bush and the Alpine high areas for years. Go figure! Cheers mate. Harera
