Blue lining and what it takes

In the episode of Lock&Hackle, I join a group of guys to spend a weekend deep in the north Ga mounts in search of wild rainbow Trout.

In this issues of “Locke&Hackle “ I’m fishing with an old friend and a guide. It was with him and a few other I took up the sport seriously about 12 ago. It was nice to land a few before he did … not gloating, just a nice inner personal feeling of achievement. Now the river is the river and the fish , well are fish. They don’t care .

Keep it simple

I was given a full day to fish explore and net some fish. And, finished with an awesome dinner with libations!

Knowing that after some rains , that the creeks and rivers would be high and stained I took the risk and went .

With a planned trip to a state WMA that is managed as a trophy tout steam… we could have picked the worst conditions. Cold from , high pressure, full moon and gin clear water. Still , we fished on .

A very quick run up to the nearest trout waters….on a Thursday morning, why not?
