Awesome. My first car was a 74 rx4 coupe, almost identical colour to this one. Bought it for 5 grand around 1998, sold it for the same price 4 years later. Talk about regret! Such fun cars to drive.
My first was a canary yellow RX4 coupe too, I really like the red, regardless they are a great looking car. As to regrets yeah I regret not hanging on to mine they are so bloody expensive and a really good one is rare these days.
@@rabbitphobiayeah man a total blast! I had so many of my dads friends say the same thing about earlier cars they owned like Holden Monaros and Ford GT's etc so when I bought this car back in 98 also, I knew then and there that it was a keeper. No rust and straight as an arrow.. It was love at first sight for me and I've now had this car 22 years... No Regrets ;P
@@jasoncurry3160 they were cheap and easy to find back in the day. There were 4 of us mates that all had 74 rx4 coupes all different colours. The summer night cruises were a blast. If i ever have enough money one day ill buy one again.
Ah my first love!! I had the same model and kept it for 5 years sold it to a guy I know from work in 1986 ,still have all the fhotos I took with it, I now have a evolution 8mr from new, and I'm not making the same mistake, I'm keeping it for my son!!
I miss my 1976 Rx-3. 12A. Unlike most gearheads, mine came with the Automatic Transmission and Air Conditioning. I did a slight of a RestoMod. White wheels and all white trim, including bumpers. Tinted windows, new interior and modern stereo system. Since this was the 1980s, I even had a Car Phone installed. Good Times.
I had the 929 Coupe version as my First car when I was 18 and I adored it , I would kill for another or an RX4 Coupe ,sadly id never be able to afford one nowdays
had a green one, got stolen in the early 2000s...fucking shattered... wasn't finished having my fun in it so my plan is to own another before I die :( rx4 is my fav shape
My dad had a r100 when I was a kid he had some rust and it would cost him to much to repair so he sold it for $4000 and fuck me we wish we didn’t we miss that car so much all we talk about is that car it was blue with some chrome Simmons on it I remember it like it was yesterday I fucking miss that car I’m 15 and I just purchased a rare as fuck 1982 Xe falcon as a project car it’s rare because it’s a factory 5 speed manual and has factory air con and had like no rust we found some more rust but it will cost me abit I’m hoping that when I rebuild it and put a 351 Cleveland in it and make it look like a show car I’m hoping I can swap one with a cash fix I fucking love the rx1’s rx2’s rx3’s rx4’s
My first car was a 1974 Mazda RX-4 Coupe bought in 1978. Was the rear of my car (the silver area) ever that shiny? I doubt it! I loved that car though. My dad had said he'd match whatever money I saved up (to get my 1st car), but I saved too much and he only gave me $600.
It would have been great to have one of these new. The rear garnish on mine in the video had the paint stripped then polished. I was going to then paint it and was like wow I like it how it is so lets just leave it and if I don't like it anymore ill paint it... that was 20 years ago and its never been painted or repolished!
Exactly Luke we older guys ( I mean me 😉) need to lead by example... I’m proud of this video and not doing burnouts, bashing the car and like you said being a clown... it’s not known but I didn’t know we were going to do a photo shoot until 30mins before!! Had I known I would have washed it and polished it haha this video is just a combination of clips taken mostly on an iPhone and banter between mates... the way it should be 👌
Does anyone know if any used RX-4s (with automatic) or rotary pickups (with automatic) available for sale? I at least want to see if I can get one reasonably!
Hi Bilal I have approx $40k in Receipts for this car from small things to big things like Paint and Engine building and all the work was done by me and close mates that specialized in the trade so I have learnt a lot over the years building and know every little thing about the car :) I would expect to do it again professionally would be close to $80-$100kaud or more depending on who did the work and what was done. Pac Performance and other shops have drive in and out packages that are more... it just depends on the extent of the build
No not for sale.. it belongs to my boyz now until they are old enough to appreciate it.. I have a Rx4 sedan project we are building together too good luck finding yours
people scared to open the throttle is the nanny state Australia is. Cause some sucker cop will see this video and start charging people Gov bunch of boring sexlesss stiffs !!!!! Snr Constable Brad Owen what can you do with this one ??????
Cameron Parrett exactly plus I had my boyz in the car so safe first.. There were also a couple of shows on in the area so there was a heavy police presence
Das Auto sieht aus wie ein Opel Manta A. Allerdings mit dem tollen Wankel Motor.Der von Felix Wankel aus Deutschland erfunden wurde. Das finde ich super!
Thanks for watching mate 👌🏻 I "Ryan" actually live in Europe now and have found the Car scene is so different. In Australia we love Original Cars too but think we love a modified/tuned version more that is not the same as everyone else. I’ve been in Germany 2 years now and still have not seen a Mazda Rotary or Datsun 510 etc.....
yelco the design is fantastic as to the paint what kind does suit the era? I'm only asking you as you seem to be the expert for you and of course all of Europe. We in Australia are not so hung up on what kind of paint if it looks great and this car certainly does we use it.
all the japanese coupes from that time are a masterpiece
i love how they look like mini muscle cars

Vince Veloce they sell for 4000 in Egypt and in great condition
lotta nice models back in that era. this shape was also popular in the celica fastbacks.
Shmick RX4. Love the pillarless windows on the coupe.
Great to see an RX-4 being driven rather than thrashed! Always loved this car, mine was a '73.
Timeless like Stevie Ray Vaughn. ❤
What a lovely car. Proportionally perfect.

The vent are so the doors close easier and don't pop your ears when the windows are up👍🙂
Thumbs up for not being 'tards and doing a vid with proper car appreciation and not clowns doing skids. Time and a place for skids kids :) THE TRACK!
