    Another great video. I read somewhere that acrylic tile adhesive works the same as gel medium and it’s much less expensive. Have yet to try it though.

    Super comprehensive David. I suspect some if this would apply to preserving a lot of types of paintings. I may reference this in the future.

    I have a question: when you mentioned isolation coat, my first thought was that this would be something I could put it over an acrylic pour before I added embellishments, like drawing on my pour or something like that, so that if I didn't like what I had done or if I made a mistake, I could clean it off without ruining my pour. Can an isolation coat be used for this? Or is it just specifically to be used under your varnish coat?

      Only if the embelishments can be removed with a solvent different than the one used to remove the isolation coat. If they are both acrylic, whatever you use to remove one will remove the other too.

    Hello, can we varnish the gold leaves? If so, does it work with likitex?

    • @LeftBrainedArtist
      @LeftBrainedArtist  2 місяці тому +1

      You don't want to run on gold leaf. If you varnish, I would recommend using spray varnish. If not that, then a soft brush instead of my traditional varnish method.

    To replace Likitex I didn't really understand the recipe. Is it possible for you to write it? Thanks in advance, it will help me a lot! THANKS!

    • @LeftBrainedArtist
      @LeftBrainedArtist  2 місяці тому +1

      I didn't replace the liquitex, I just mixed half water and half liquitex gloss medium and that is what I use to wipe-on varnish my paintings. More explanation in this video - ua-cam.com/video/4VqHUG1ZevU/v-deo.html
