Pretty decent movie, I must say! I debated watching but decided to "give it a go" and I'm glad I did .. very well-made for the times! Now, I'm looking forward to even more Quatermass adventures, now that I've experienced one. Thanks for sharing and for the viewing opportunity!
To be honest, I think this is the weakest of the three films; the first is much better I think. But of them all, I think the third; Quatermass And The Pit; is the best, with the exception of the unconvincing 'Martians', everything else about it is just great.
Enjoyable low-budget movie. For some reason, the acting in British movies seems more natural and organic than in American movies. A nice performance by Brian Donlevy late in his career.
I’ve always been a fan of hammer films as far as I concerned there the best films of that era well scripted well acted and well directed and suspense and terror was mounted slowly and diliberent
Alot of past their prime American actors ended up in low budget movies. Like Good quality second hand furniture. They added a slight touch of Hollywood... 👌
Not bad. Brian Donlevy was well past his prime as an actor when he starred in this. I think his finest performance was in the late Forties film “Impact”.
Hi Tom, wasn't he also in the Fly?? He was a great scientist wherever he was. Plus, an industrialist with a scanky wife!!! He's always on the verge of something!!!😮😉
Why are we still waiting for a decent blu ray release of the two 1950's Quatermass movies ? If FROM HELL IT CAME can make it to the format surely these two gems can.
@jimmorrison6421 But the Doctor is 1,000 Years Old. And of course can travel thru time and space, plus plenty of room in the Tardis and every member of U.N.I.T.
Strange how the plant guards could only shoot & miss then were somehow unable to pursue once the others drove away in a vehicle...and that security gate they drove through ecaping at the films end sure was solid wasn't it? Popped right open with no damage to the vehicle or the people in it at all...!

We all need a man like Professor Quatermass in our lives to advance science.
Unlike all those cheap, lousy "science-fiction" movies of the '50's, this is actually pretty good. Hammer was gearing up when they made this.
Brian Donlevy's presence accounts
for 70% of the 2 movies' success.
All those automatic weapons firing and not one bullet hitting the car. Geez

Quatermass and the pit from 1967 with Barbara Shelley is excellent.
Il y a quand même des longueurs ...

Sorry,
but the 3rd fell flat
&
the boast
became
the bust.
You could make an argument that both Quatermass films with Brian could be in the top 10 science fiction movies of the 1950s . They are both excellent.

1090p, definitely Quatermass.
No ads....yay!

Quatermass must have influenced the writers of Dr Who back in the day
I was 12 years old and is scared me but not now. I enjoyed seeing it
Pretty decent 50’s Sci-Fi horror.

@@patriciapiper6294 also b donlevy in the great mcginty
Vera Day was great in her day what more can i say.
Don't forget Marianne Stone (the secretary) !
Marianne Stone the most prolific film actress in British history. R.I.P.
Apparently, Donlevy was one of Barbara Stanwyck's favourite actors. She even convinced her brother to name his son after him ; Brian Stanwyck Stevens.
The First 3 movies are the best!!!
Great film, thanks. I think the new housing estate was in Hemel Hempstead and the alien plant was the Shell refinery in Stanford le Hope Essex.
I yhink you are right.
Well thought out plot, great writing, and jolly good acting
That was really good - thank you 🌻

What a great movie 😊
Absolutely 💯-
Perhaps The Doctor and Unit were busy fighting Cybermen or Daleks. That would explain their absence.
They wernt created till 6 yrs after this movie

the shipping rolls are wonderful…..!!!!!

This was a prototype quorn facillity
I could only watch a quarter of it.

Nice body count ... ^^
Poor old Syd
or even Sid
Was obviously based on a true story? Juhaptergee
NOT the complete film....missing 5 minutes.
DJT would make the perfect Quatermass
DJT would make the perfect monster on Quatermass
Quatermass ~ the Elon Musk of yesterday.
Quatermass would never create something as evil and corrupt as PayPal
👍👍👍👍
1090 ? or 1080 ?
Not fantastic but not too bad.
Michael ripper
Le cortaron los títulos. A quién se le ocurre eso? Que falta de respeto!!!!
The opening music sounds like a rip off version of Godzilla 1954
The music for the early Quatermass films was terrible,if not irritating
It was fairly interesting until it wasn't
Stolen music soundtrack.
Needs some better monster aliens besides black slimy blobs. Too easy to kill.
Very interesting but stupid
not his best .
