For clarification, Rapidmon's effect says that it gives "Up to 3" suspended digimon -5000 DP for the turn and it's not a "you may" effect. In digimon "Up to X" means you have to do anywhere from 1 to the X amount. SO yeah he had to give the scatter mode -5K, you can't not do it.
I'm pretty sure up to means it's optional. If you point me to where in rules it specifies minium 1 i would appreciate it. Digimon rulings can be confusing, but we've always interpreted up to as optional
@@KnTElixar ■Multi-Target Effects For card effects that choose multiple targets, there’s a difference between effects that refer to choosing “up to ” of something as opposed to just “”. When effects ask you to choose a “” of something, you must choose as many of the number specified as you can. (Example: An effect that reads, “3 of your opponent’s level 3 Digimon” requires you to choose 3 of your opponent’s level 3 Digimon. If your opponent only has 2 level 3 Digimon in play, you must choose as many of them as you can, so you must choose both.) When effects ask you to choose “up to ” of something, you can choose as few or as many of the number specified as you like. (You must choose at least 1. If there are 1 or more applicable Digimon or Tamers in play, you can’t choose 0.) (Example: An effect that reads, “up to 3 of your opponent’s level 3 Digimon” allows you to choose between 1-3 of your opponent’s level 3 Digimon.) Source: Digimon Card Game Detailed Rules Ver. 1.3
I came from Pokémon. Played a lot from 2018-2022. Started playing digimon in February of this year. I believe ex3 was the newest set at the time. I didn’t get bored of Pokémon, but my best friends that I always played with had stopped playing and the scene here is a little rough. So I didn’t wanna go alone.
Qotd : I started with yugioh, then picked up dragon ball for a while, after that at uni picked up force of will for a period and then vanguard during covid bc of zero and started playing digimon as soon as the game came out in English with set 1.0
Yeah I had it lined up based on the Leopardmon mat but he had his security way off to the side and I'd already sat down to play my round by that time, didn't notice till the footage was being watched back 😭 shouldn't be a problem when both players have mats. Or I'll just ask them to put out security first so I can see it before I press record D:
QotD: i mainly played Vanguard before digimon, but ive dipped a toe in most at this point haaha! Started Digimon collecting with the release 1.0 booster! Started actually playing with Great Legend BT04
To answer the QOTD, I started with YuGiOh in 2017, quit the game in early 2019 while I was in Australia, joined local team SAbleyes and mained Pokemon for a while, still play Pokemon occasionally now I’m back in the UK but Digimon was a gamechanger! Always loved the IP and the flow of the game is so attractive and skill expressive

0 is up to 3
@@KnTElixar While that is objectively true, within the rules of DCG: "up to" effects must include a minimum of 1
@@ADNudes fair enough I didn't know that, I'll let them know

I fully agree, leopardmon is a nova grappler vanguard at heart 🤖

@3:58 why didn't leopard mode suspend the eyesmon?
I don't know tbh, they defo stunned the belphemon so maybe didn't bother as they had no intention of clearing it.
Also the taiga play towards the end was wrong. It’s not if you have a level 5 in play, it’s if you’re going into a level 5 or higher.
Ah ty, I knew it mentioned level 5 somewhere

The whole time game 1 I was hella confused because we can’t see the Belphemon’s security
