Ive been looking for a good spot for base for over a week. I find this video and say okay wow.. I grab my tools and things Id need to start a new base and begin my journey on foot across the map as I am still new and only have a few hundred hours into the game.. Once I arrived it say restricted area.. No more bases in caves... Damm.. I would have failed anyways because I already had a flag up and I guess you can only have one. But the base was raided so I thought I was good to go. Thanks for the video and ideas anyways lol...
Sorry for late response, but in Scum people go everywhere. On Pvp server you can find people where you think they will not go. Trust me and mine 4k hours lol. Cheers
Whatever. Z1 is OP. Tons of Military loot & tool boxes (screw drivers) and warehouses at train. City has tons of tier 3 building mats. Windmill have great car spawns. Abandon bunker near by. Trader 7 min drive. No one likes living in Z so airdrops are easy. Best Gas station / Garage combo right there. And the cave is cheap as hell to beef up and keep a low profile.

C1 cave is my favorite you can fit a 3 story structure inside it. It's unfortunately occupied on my current server though

On official servers they add restricted area into caves few updates ago, now you can only build in caves on private servers or in single player mode.
That cave base is perfect.. Nobody even gonna spot you.. Nobody goes at edge of map

They can't jump in, only on wires and spikes who are attached on top of wall. And put mines around your base, be creative.
