    Well done. This region has an amazing geological history. Head a bit north to the New Hampshire region and you will find the remains of incredibly large volcanic calderas/super volcanoes. And let's not forget the palisades. Most impressive and yet, so peaceful now.

      Plus, there's still a bit of rebounding from the last glaciation period. Talk about recent history, geologically speaking

      @mikelouis9389 True, without constant remote sensing on this whole area, its difficult to quantify how much energy is being stored in this fault system

      @@earthscienceclassroom It might be too "noisy" in this area for effective monitoring other than inclinometers and GPS. Mining, fracking, construction, manufacturing etc etc.
