I like CGC it is way more desirable to know what parts of the card failed to meet that 10. At PSA it's anyone's best guess at why a card got a 9 instead of 10.

What is the benefit of grading with PSA over CGC? Personally, I like the way CGC grades each category (centering, corners, etc.) separately and shows you at the top of the card. Are PSA cards more highly sought after or increase value somehow?

i think so psa is more used but i think a CGC is harder to get a 10

PSA is the standard. It’s most recognizable and most sought after because of that. Only thing more sought after are probably black label BGS graded cards which are graded as being in the most perfect, pristine condition possible

I had all of these at one point. I, of course, had them when they were brand new and I was young and played the actual game with them...so they were far from mint. My Blastoise I pulled from a booster, my Venusaur I "won" off of a classmate (...don't ask...), and my Charizard was a HORRIBLE condition first edition foil (probably would have gotten a PSA 5 at absolute BEST, no bends or tears, but a lot of scratches and dings on the edges).
Alas, my entire collection of old holos (including a 1st edition Blane's Charizard, and a Japanese Island Mew) were all stolen when I was about 19. I look back at what I had and can only estimate that I lost several THOUSAND dollars in cards. I've never really gotten into collecting again because of the sour taste in my mouth that event left.
Eh, but anyway, great grades! Congrats on 1m and may luck be ever on your side!

Really cool to see you graded the starters with PSA! PSA has been getting a lot of flak which I don't think they deserve lately, probably from butt hurt morons who jumped the hobby just to make a quick buck a couple years back.
Edit: nevermind you reslabbed them with cgc. I'm fine with CGC but they did some sketchy stuff to gain hype when they entered the card grading space. Still better then beckett though, there price hike killed them lol
