@@cakepoppop It’s really mean. My “baby” is 24 and just celebrated 1 year with her first boyfriend. Why her first boyfriend at this age? Because she didn’t want the drama and wanted to get her education first. She’s now living her best life, traveling all the time and we would never put her down. She would look amazing in a potato sack and it’s not about us. Happy and healthy is all we’ve ever wanted from the day she was born.

Found out that the second bride, Ashley got divorced from Brian in 2017 after 6 years of marriage, and remarried again in 2021, she is super successful as an owner of a Chick-fil-A franchise and so inspiring 🎉

@ Well instead of touching them with glue, don't do anything to the boots just wear a large rhinestone bracelet around each boot to provide the bling.

I know that mama dressed so trashy. You would have thought she would have dressed up nice for a fancy bridal salon instead of wearing her thrift store special that came from the closet of a deceased 80-year-old. I would think the mom was not over 50 why dress like she's 80? I am 70 plus and I would never wear that.
My daughter lives in South Africa and when she went dress shopping she video phoned me with every dress fitting. It was challenging for me because of the 9 hour time difference, but I had to be there for my baby. When she put on the third dress, we both knew that was The Dress. For approximately $1000, to date, that is the most beautiful dress I have ever seen. All those brides who have difficult mothers, I wish them luck.
that mom will be lucky to see her grandkids with her attitude. "she did it purposefully to spite me." or because she likes it? she's allowed to have different taste than you, mom, you're not the one wearing it.
I genuinely feel like at every appointment before any dresses get picked there should be a reminder for the entourage that it isn't their wedding....

If I were trying on wedding dresses and I got all that negativity like the first bride did I would take them all home and come back by myself and get what I wanted ... the second bride was absolutely gorgeous in her beautiful dress and you could see the kindness and support from her family.
The good thing is, from the get go, the bride said the mom is not going to get her way. I was concerned initially about her young age, but once she said that, I knew she was "old enough" to be getting married.

To each her own, but Cowboy boots are just as uncomfortable to stand in all day as heels.
I hope the consultant learned something from the lady who found the perfect dress. The consultant would have pushed the short one, and the other woman knew it was horrible with the boots; all focus would have been on the boots as she walked down the isle; she did what was right for the bride, the other just wanted the commission and the appointment over.

Its so odd when some Mums think they can choose out their daughters dress. It's the daughter's wedding! I think its because in the USA a lot of parents pay for the wedding - so they want more of a say in it. In Australia most people pay for their own wedding.

That first bride was stunning in her picks and knows what she looks good in. That sweetheart neckline was perfect on her. She should have brought her bridesmaids or something because her family was just not it. Laurie was right that that short dress was cute for a rehearsal or the reception, but that's just not a wedding dress because it brings attention straight down to the boots and not up at her face.

I live in Texas and my daughter worked for the government in Washington DC -because of my health i was unable to go wedding dress shopping with her. It infuriates me to see these mothers and stepmothers insist on their choice. I would have loved to go shopping with my daughter to pick out her dress

The mother for the first young lady was not as kind as she could have been but she and the entourage were correct regarding the short dress. I know Lori didn't like it but in my opinion it looked the best on the bride. It was fun, flirty and perfect for a barn wedding, she looked beautiful no matter what but none of the other dresses she tried on matched the theme or the feel she said she wanted at the start of the appointment. That dress she chose is going to get very dirty from dragging on the floor all night. From her description they are not frilly people and they like to have a good time. In the short dress she can have a good time and preserve the integrity of the dress. I hope that it all worked out and she enjoyed the wedding and has had a fruitful, joyous marriage.
Her mother should try to be more demure. Everyone sees and hears her with minimal effort. What a…person. The short dress did less than nothing for her. People think the cowboy boots make a statement about who they are, but that statement needs to be made somewhere other than your wedding.
