I love going back and watching these scenes now, From the beginning these two were such a great pair, so glad they had such amazing chemistry so this story could play out. Everything about them being an item was absolutely planned from day one.
Cause I'm rewatching Once Upon a Time just through Hook and Emma scenes for the millionth time in lock down, the look @ 1:04 is my fave, as he ties the "bandage" with his teeth, just before she says "and then..?" ugh these two!!!

Hook was so tender with Emma. He's always a gentleman at least according to him. You can tell they feel a connection which is the reason they've started to open up to each other. I can see the pain written all over Hook's face when. she ask about Milah. Emma saw it too which allowed her to open up about being in love. This was a defining moment for CS
Still one of the hottest scenes ever in this show.

Composed music theme for Emma and Hook is quite beautiful. Which leads me to believe this is not a temporary partnership. Rooting for Emma's happy ending!

I loved how the theme was there from the start. They were endgame from the very beginning.
What I loved about this first episode was seeing how they were both intrigued by each other , two lost souls, strangers in which they saw a mirror image of themselves.. What was most intriguing is even in this first episode of their interaction their was moments in which very naturally they both let down some of their walls and let the other in to see the their true selves . Take for example their whole conversation about Mila it was so genuine and honest .. In this one conversation their whole demeanor changed , Hook became totally quiet and subdued, vulnerable and his cocky persona totally died away talking about Mila and Emma softened and lost a little of her sass and instead was genuinely interested out of curiosity about Hook and his past.

I love how they bring out their true selves in each other because even in their first scenes together Hook let glimpses of Killian show thru when they first meet in 2x05 how instead of telling Emma to call him hook he tells her his real name first Killian as that is who he identifies with , the pirate Hook is just a part of himself . Then here due to the delicate nature of the question at hand lets his true self show without really caring he was letting himself show and how by Killian giving a little that in turn forces Emma to let her guard down at the end by admitting to him but also to herself that she did at one point love someone ergo Neal . Its as if because they don't have the burden of a past together like Emma did with Neal , they are more able to let their walls down to be open and honest , able to see each other for who they are cause their is no baggage corrupting their foresight . As I have watched this scene again it actually makes sense that this ability to recognize within each other a kindred spirit sparked their relationship , that as their relationship progressed, as they have grown closer the only person they would be willing to be their true selves with was each other even if its in small moments in the episodes. The reason being they can trust within each other they can be seen for who they truly are .This one conversation apart from many others is one of the reasons I love them , because with each other from the beginning they could be themselves without the pretenses or the stereotypes of he is a pirate or she is the savior and now together as their relationship has progressed as they continually are growing to trust each other, to rely on each other, they are starting to matter to each other , becoming a part of each others lives , they are becoming just Killian and Emma to each other .

This is so beautiful and the best part is that if you listen very closey you can hear the music that plays when Emma and Hook share their first kiss in Season 3.
His smile at emma after she says they can't wait for the giant to fall asleep is adorable and you can tell he likes that she is tough and isn't afraid to get in to danger unlike the other woman he has met

Does anyone else wonder why she wanted to know who Milah is?? She was already a little interested in Hook, I wouldn't have been able to resist him.
This ep. has all their best moments so far IMO. This might be my favorite.....when he tightens that bandage with his teeth...gah! Just love it. And Hook and Emma both show serious vulnerability around each other here. Can't wait for them to really happen.

The simple fact that they wrote a musical motif for CS from the beginning is all the evidence we need that they were meant to be. I highly doubt they would have a theme if Hook was simply meant as a villain and "possible" love interest. From day one people. Day one!
And this was the moment hook got Emma addicted to rum
honestly neither emma or hooks first relationships were actually good for them when hook was with milah he was still pretty much the same and milah didn't care that he was a pirate ir a bad guy no matter how mich he loved milah he was never going to turn into a good guy for her simply because he knew he didn't need to she was going to be with him regardless and she didn't care if he hurt people or stole and emma wasn't a good erson with neal either she stole and was always on the run with him until she got arrested but when emma and hook came together hook actually tried to be better for emma and not the villain that everone thought he was and emma gave her whole heart to hook they made each other better people and that's why the relationship worked
After this, if the writers make her end up with Neal, im gunna cry

God Damn it ! I Want to see Emma As Hooks Badass Pirate Wife Already !!! Them sailing off on the Jolly Rodger in the finale ! This is why she would make a perfect wife for him , Hook to Emma in this scene " your a tough lass you would make a hell of a pirate " , he already can tell she has the making of a pirate case in point she is one hell of a tough cookie and that alone challenges and intrigues him apart from her guardedness. As we have come to see she also likes rum and drinking with him which Emma will never admit which he as a pirate needs in a wife a tough lass who can hold her liquor , she can deal with his shit ergo his cockiness and his numerous sexual innuendos and he can deal with her stubbornness and pig headedness when it comes to her heart and her walls of insecurity. I think a lot of their charm lies in their hilarious flirtatious banter... the back and forth of it all , the constant one uping each other , the constant challenges, hooks innuendos but also in the fact at the flick of a wrist this banter can turn serious to topics they both are so guarded talking about , but which allows for moments of vulnerability , sheer honesty to show thru in their conversation and shows underneath both these complex characters , they are both broken at their core, lonely just looking for someone to connect with on a intimate yet guarded level. I think both of them from the beginning until they met each other were searching for someone without intuitively knowing it who they could just be themselves with , that they could let in , I think both of them were so tired of being overly jaded distrustful and were just waiting to allow someone in to see under these personas they wear who they could possibly see developing a relationship with &the possibility of love with . I think a part from them both craving a family what they both really yearned for was love but what neither one of them expected or was prepared for is that true love appeared in the form of a complicated broken man slash dashing alcoholic pirate and the other a distant if not broken distrustful, guarded mother/ princess ...

Emma found out in s3e4 where they go to Neal's cave and she said she didn't knew he could draw and Hook said "he got it from his mother" you see Emma's reaction figuring who Milah was.
OMG, how fool I am! I haven't really realized it. I mean I knew who Milah was and that stuff, but I didn't really realize that Hook dated his ex-boyfriend mother, I mean... He could be his father-in-law!!! Damn confusing curses and timelines! You never get used to it, lol.
And you see in the Underworld of Season 5, Emma meets Milah. It was quite a funny interaction. Milah meeting the woman her son dated and had a son with, and then dating her exboyfriend lol.

FlowerTrollSan exactly, I don’t know what happened to the writers. They were so sexy and flirty and there was this awesome spark between them that got lost in later seasons. Hook ended up being more like a pet to her, here his character looks so much promising and better.
