to put this into perspective… Kyle Busch at JGR, M&M’s, and the #18 car will be all nonexistent next year… damn.
RIP my childhood
I feel like this season cements the state of JGR at this moment.
Denny is consistent but is cursed.
Kyle basically filed his 90 day notice.
Martin is coming back next year but had a rough time this year.
And Bell was the lone proper great driver this year for consistency and making the final four.
Don't forget that Hamlin was absolutely terrible in the regular season, despite 2 wins
Denny's team screwed him out of a 5 win season tbf
@@Pen2ke and a piece of tape
And now it's Ty Gibbs Racing, where teammates only work one way. Not a bad time to exit if you ask me.
He's not cursed, he's a choker.
No one saw him having that bad of a season. With contract negotiations, his primary sponsor of M&Ms leaving the sport, and 2 blown engines to start the playoffs it seemed like a dark cloud hung over the #18 team the entire season. Hopefully he can have a fresh start with RCR.
I DID BUSCH IS TRASH
And he did 3 wins last year and he’s should have won 3 this year Daytona Atlanta and Bristol he was dominant until Atlanta he lost by a fender Bristol good year shit the bed and Daytona well Daytonas only been good to Kyle once barely in 2008
One of the most anticipated videos of the 2022 NASCAR Offseason
Race 16-31 of the 2022 Season for Kyle Busch saw 2 Top 10s, A 24.5 Average Finish and 5 DNFs including his Pocono Disqualification along with a 30th Place Average Finish in the Round of 16 knocking him out of the 2022 Playoffs
PS: Congrats on 63K
If we don't include the disqualification because, that was out of KB's control along with some race results if for instance the engine didn't expire. Where would we see all his stats had it not been for those 3 critical points (Maybe more but these were major)
So many races he should’ve won without bad luck and he was having a good year in the first 16 races then after that it was utter chaos
Yea he should've won Dover, Darlington, and the first Vegas race
You could also argue he realistically could've won the second Vegas race, Gateway, and the Coke 600
@@mattr.8470 Dover was sad because If the pit strategy played out he would’ve won, darlington he was in the wrong place at wrong time but he could’ve finished Top 5 and charlotte And gateway if he wasn’t at the top of the track he could’ve won because both times he got loose and bottom lane Took off
He legit was 2nd in points after gateway like 6 points or something behind Elliott then the season went to hell. Still think he could have had a deep playoff run if he didn’t blow 2 motors in round 1 and gone out a little better.
@@crazybut6641 agreed maybe even a round of 4 run if he won darlington
Not bad luck he's just trash
I've been a Kyle Busch fan ever since I started watching NASCAR, KB has been with JGR since I was 2 or 3 years old and it's really eerie seeing him out of the iconic 18 he's made for himself. I hope him the best with his tenure with Richard Childress, hopefully they can deal with KB's passionate style lmao
Lot of drivers would love to have Jeff Gordon’s 2005 season.
Suffice to say, Kyle Busch got the "Sebastian Vettel at Ferrari in 2020" treatment at JGR this year. May not be a big fan, but gotta feel for the guy. Hope his time in RCR will be somewhat better, I suppose.
Man I never thought this day would come in a long time
Me neither. Such a shame he couldn't retire with his trademark team and sponsor
Who’s watching this when Kyle Busch is having a phenomenal 2023 season😂
Being a Kyle fan for at least 13 or so years that I can remember this season stung. Just when I thought things might turn around or maybe end on some type of positive, just meh after meh finish. Really happy he's going to RCR in the 8. I'll be looking to see how Ty does on his own at JGR too. Great video.
You being a Kyle Busch fan says alot about you.
@@bizlatttingz yeah such as?
@@bizlatttingz lmao yeah figured one of these types, whatever man
@@bizlatttingzso you’re calling every 5 year old with a mnms shirt that? Wow dude 100000000000000 iq
@@kyleenglandracing701 fuck those kids. Maybe when their brains fully develop, they will grow out of their delusion that Kyle is someone they like. If not? That just shows how ignorant that kid wound up being.
The first half was sooo great, but in the end, this is how we will remember this season for KFB.
It's kinda like Formula 1 Legend Michael Schumacher 2005 title defence was weak due to the F2005 not being competitive like its predecessor the F2004 you may or may not have known this but that is how I felt seeing this.
Didn’t Bobby Labonte end his stint with JGR with a bad season as well?
Two bad seasons actually. 2004 was meh and 2005 was absolutely horrible. Which is why Labonte asked JGR to release him from his contract early and then Yeley got rushed to cup to take over a struggling team and had a horrible 2006 and 2007.. then they switched to Toyota, hired Kyle Busch and the #18 became the best team at JGR.. until 2022
To Yeleys credit, you still see him making starts in inferior equipment of course. He still manages to get a ride even though he’s terrible.
@@gregrowe1168 like you said inferior equipment. When he was in the 18, that team could be considered the inferior JGR car until Kyle got that team back on track after 4 rough years with two different drivers, including the 2000 champion even struggling at the end. I won't ever believe Yeley is terrible unless I see him in a good ride with a good team and still flop
He had a lot of bad luck at the beginning of the year but I think he did so bad in the second half because Joe Gibbs wanted to give him the finger on his way out. Yes, he finished third at Las Vegas and 7th at Phoenix but that was because of his talent and in-spite of his equipment, not because of it.
It’s crazy to think that after 2020 many people thought that he wouldn’t have another season like this. Then 2022 happens and the end of an era for Kyle Busch and Joe Gibbs Racing. I honestly didn’t think that this would happen, him leaving JGR.
Frontstretch’s interview at Phoenix was absolutely saddening. Kyle had never been like that in an interview. Glad this current season gave him a much-needed rebound.
It's hilarious that Kyle Busch scored as many Top 10s as Joey Logano with the difference being Championship Seasons: Joey Logano 2022 & Bad Seasons: Kyle Busch 2022
I feel like 2020 really began the end of Kyle Busch and JGR as a duo. In 2020 they had great moments occasionally but most of the time was very off compared to 2008-2019. Sure the loss of Practice and Qualifying because of Covid-19 and his crew chief changing from Adam Stevens to Ben Beshore were setbacks for Kyle and his team but if Kyle's 2020 was anything it was in indicator of what was to come the next 2 seasons
Future uploads: Revisiting Jimmie Johnson and Bad Seasons: Kyle Busch 2005.
So a "Bad Season" is scoring one win, 8 Top 5's, 17 Top 10's, and leading more laps this year then he has in the past three and finishing 13th in points?
Wow, that must mean Austin Cindric had a "Bad Season" since he won the Daytona 500 and finished 12th in points.
This is Kyle Busch we are talking about.
When you get an extremely talented driver with like 60 something wins, almost getting a winless season is a bad season.
This ties 2020 as the most painful year to be a Kyle Busch fan.
2020 is a pain for all the world.
Imagine telling Dale Jr fans back in 2008 that one day Kyle Busch will drive the 8.
Doesn't matter jr is the only good driver in that number
Kyle Busch in 2024 Hold my beer
Literally was on my way to say this
Bad seasons: Brad Keselowski 2022
Bad seasons: Martin Truex Jr 2022
Good seasons: Ross Chastain 2022
At least M&M's got a Top 10 in their final race.
Going to sonoma 2022 he had 11/15 Top tens which is insane then after that it was all pain
Hey BFM, when's the Zane Smith Championship video coming out?
Let’s be real, who saw this coming? 😂
We all did
Everyone
The thing about this is that Kyle Busch’s stats this season (aside from the 7 DNFs) are pretty good, but absolutely horrendous by Kyle Busch standards
I still think Dale Jarrett's 2003 season needs a video.
Have to agree especially after winning at Rockingham 2nd race of the season when they along with Robert Yates as a whole fell off a cliff.
But there along with him other contenders for bad season 2003
Elliott Sadler, Ricky Rudd both swapped each other rides from 2002 along with the 28 car becoming the 38 and both like Dale Jarrett had 9 DNFs
Then there’s Kurt Busch as well went from finishing 3rd in 2002 standings and being 6th with 12 races to go, the flashpoint with Jimmy Spencer at Michigan, dumping Sterling Marlin for the win at Bristol Night Race fell to 11th in the final standings with 8 DNFs despite 4 wins plus being pipped by Ricky Craven at Darlington to NASCARs Closest finish.
Kyle Busch: Good 2021 season to the most crashes in the 2022 season
Other ideas for Bad Seasons;
RCR 2009 and/or 2019
Denny Hamlin 2018 (his only winless season)
Casey Mears 2008
Chip Ganassi Racing 2011
Tony Stewart 2015
Clint Bowyer 2014 or 2016
Other idea
Joe Nemeckek 2006
Juan Pablo Montoya 2012
Alex Bowman 2023
Chase Elliott 2024
Future: ¿Joey Logano 2024?
Good job, Joe. Sabotaging your BEST DRIVER!
Kyle Busch led more laps this season than he did in 2020 and 2021 yet he only had one win and eight Top 5s. Big yikes 😬.
Kyle spun in at least half of the race weekends, whether in practice, qualifying or the race.
I’m going to be honest, 2022 for Kyle Busch was pretty good but then he and Denny Hamlin got disqualified at Pocono. Since that race, it wasn’t the same…
As a close fan of JGR drivers, I’ll speak for all fans, Kyle Busch is 100% not washed, pre playoffs JGR gave KB shitty cars.
Even before his RCR announcement, JGR already clearly sabotaged his car, I watched all Round of 16 races, he had a CLEAR shot of winning in all 3 before his car “malfunctioned”. KB clearly tried as a driver, JGR failed him because of contract fallouts
There is zero meaning for KB in the last 7 races, you could clearly see he wouldn’t care abt even trying to win, he was literally out there for contractual obligations only even blatantly stating it during interviews
JGR wanting Ty Gibbs Racing entering next season gives no reason for KB to try to win too.
It’s just sad to see KB go out this way, RCR#8 gonna be a huge threat next season
This season was definitely a miserable year for Kyle not going to lie worse then 2012. Difficult year for Rowdy Nation to watch. Had it not been for the lucky win at the Bristol Dirt race it would had been a winless season. After Sonoma, the team just looked lost and just didn’t give a damn afterwards to improve upon things. Listening to his interview following the RCR announcement, talking about actually feeling welcomed in the Chevy camp said a lot about how much is relationship with Toyota & JGR declined greatly. Well it’s JGR’s loss, here’s hopefully to better things in the 8 next year
2022 was his worst season since 2014
He not only would have went winless, He would have missed the playoffs entirely because of his disastrous summer stretch if it wasn't for his Bristol Dirt Win
Unfortunately, after 15 seasons where he scored 3 championships and 147 wins (Xfinity and Cup) with Joe Gibbs Racing. I was right that I was going to predict a bad season for Kyle Busch this year and in the end it was true.
Unfortunately he had the most incidents this season which were 26 incidents including Self Spins than Chase Elliott which was 22 incidents. Big comebacks after every spin for Kyle Busch and now a new chapter is about to be written at RCR in 2023, after it was announced a couple of hours ago that Ty Gibbs was going to go to Cup in 2023 in the 54 car. RIP JGR 18 car (1993-2022)
He always comesback after the selfspins but I think its him pushing the limits, He wall rided twice this season
As you did that video can you do bad seasons Martin Truex Jr. 2022 Darian?
I'm just glad he tied Richard Petty for most consecutive seasons with a win. That's pretty awesome
Hoping he beats him next year!
@@schalitz1 that would be awesome
He almost won gateway and coke 600 don't forget
Not a Kyle fan at all but I wouldn't mine him running well and maybe snagging a championship with RCR. He is reaching the point in his career where he is turning into a respectable well spoken veteran. Still some extremely hot takes but the truth hurts sometimes.
Good Seasons: Denny Hamlin 2021
Well over 60? It's exactly 60. Plus, only 56 came with JGR.
This season was worse than Kyle’s 2012 season. It was quite a bad way to end a great era at JGR. Can’t wait for the RCR 8 era next year and I hope for the best.
If by bad season, you mean bad second half of the season then yeah you’ve got a point
It's Pretty Obvious It's Not A Bad Season For Rowdy 🤨. It's Not Like He Went Winless (Thankfully) He Only Had 6 DNFs.
There Is Just No Way Rowdy's Gonna Have A Bad Season Despite Winning One Race.
Been on a bit of a nascar rabbit hole, and I'm not really a fan. So maybe I got this wrong but..... this many problems over and over again, from damaged engines to damaged tires, everything.... feels kinda like he may have been given bad stuff, or purposely sabotaged. idk, that's so weird to see him just have so many mechanical problems or tire problems on a pretty consistent basis.
Hey leave my favorite driver alone haha Great video like always brother!
Waiting for the bad season video on Martin Truex's 2022 season.
In 2020 Kyle also had a bad season, however he scored 2 Cup wins in 2021
4 laps down at Martinsville, rwr cars don't even do that
The only reason Christopher Bell made a "miraculous" run to the Final 4 because the moment KFB and Gibbs' relationships started to crumble, Joe gave Kyle all the scraps that the 20 had for years, and gave all the good equipment to Bell to Kyle used to have, which started KFB's slump. Truex will be the next victim of being the guy who's given the scraps at JGR, it's the exact same reason why Suarez sucked in the 19 and the reason they hired Truex to begin with.
i really wished they nipped the "multi car team" in the bud before it got out of hand. honestly would rather they had it where you get 1 car and that is it. next acceptable to me would have been 2 car max.
@@Dratchev241 JGR has become Ty Gibbs Racing anyway. That team is a soap opera.
Don't be surprised if Hamlin also is given scrap cars alongside MTJ
@@NASCARFAN93100 That’s what will happen. Already half of JGR’s driver lineup from 2020 were given scraps in their respective final seasons with the team.
AND NEXT YEAR FOR JOE GIBBS RACING 11-19-20-54 ALL WILL HAVE BAD SEASON THIS GONNA BE A ROUGH BAD AWFUL 2023 SEASON FOR THE CUP SERIES AND XFINTY TEAMS
4:50 NASCAR 21 with medium steering assist
A Bad Seasons suggestion that I think is worth looking at: Ricky Rudd (1997-99, take your pick because the collapse year by year is sad)
This year was painful for Rowdy Nation. Next year has to be better.
AHHHH. I KNEW I SAW YOU AT BRISTOL DIRT. AHHHH
I never thought I see the day the words "Bad Season" and "Kyle Busch" would be a video title
Yeah, and to make matters worse, his only win was him backing into it when the two cars in front of him crashed and he won. Even Kyle Busch was stunned "I feel like I didn't even do anything". The rest of it, you just knew that Joe Gibbs Racing was not bringing him back and he just was having a lame duck season until the announcement he was going to RCR. They were so up and down, and it seemed like they never recovered from the announcement that M&M's was leaving, and the contract negotiations seemed to rankle Kyle a lot and as it became more and more evident that JGR didn't want him the more frustrating things got for him. I don't wish a year like this on anyone.
I found a Kyle Busch diecast in the trash, and basically told me that number 18 cars not gonna be in the cup series no more
@@JustGenius2001 yep
Good seasons: Ross Chastain 2022
Bad Seasons: Brad Keselowski 2022
Man what a turn around!!! 3 dubs by the off week is impressive! At this rate I don't see any reason why his win total won't match the shiny new car number!!! #8in23 #3xchamp
Well. Sadly. Ecr. Wrecks. Spins. Slow pace.
Crazy that that's considered a bad season. Half the field would consider this solid.
Wonder how people felt when Dale Senior went from his then familiar Wrangler blue and yellow colours to what became his signature in his later years, the black GM Goodwrench livery
it didn't matter, he changed sponsors it happens. bigger deal would been if he went say from #3 to say the yates #28 ford, or the #5 hendrick.
I think Kyle Busch will Champion next year
Just like 10 years ago, a Kyle Busch bad season
The fan controllers came back to haunt him this season.
Really liked seeing that DeWalt scheme on the 18 👍
Without the playoffs he would have finished 10th in points, and considering how his season started I'd call this season more of a collapse than a bad one. But that's just me.
Still waiting on that bad seasons Cole Custer video BFM/Darian, especially with the recent news.
I thought this would be for Brad Keslowski or Martin Truex Jr, but yeah Kyle had a rough final season with JGR despite his 1 win.
What makes things worst is for Kyle Busch fans is that Lionel Racing did not offer preorders for the m&m's Halloween or the final ride car, complete missed opportunity for them to do that as they both knew that KB18 cars would be their money makers. Unfortunately due to Mars Inc and JGR, those two diecasts never happened.
2022 season sucked lol
I think with the new Gen-7 car and with how many winners there are, it's gonna be a test of skill without a win to get in the playoffs
It's been a terrible season for Kyle, since 2020 he already looked weak. The departure of M&M'S and the rise of Ty Gibbs generated a domino effect that would end his career at JGR and I am not surprised that there has been sabotage by the coach in order to put the grandson in his place.
I dunno if Ty Gibbs will pull in Kyle Busch numbers.
Should’ve won Vegas and Gateway.
You know you’ve had a good career when 1 win is considered a bad season.
Jeff Gordon 2005: That's cute
Can you do a Bad Season Video on Dale Jarrett’s 2003 season
As a Kyle Busch fan, knowing that he could of won 7 RACES is total pain to me
Man I don't even like Kyle but I wasn't happy with how this last year went for him, the jgr and Busch combo was proven to be much better than what the last year gave us
The video we’ve all been waiting for
Bad Seasons:Brad Keselowski 2022
meh, I don't think he had a bad season per say. he did what I kinda expected him to do. (remember he would been closer to 20th in points if not for penalties)
NASCAR Rumbles menu music amazing
The thing is Kyle will not win a championship with RCR but at least he can try to get some w next season
i think he has a chance to, now will he? idk it really depend on how much RCR will improve next year but the talent kb has he could pull it off, if RCR makes some big improvements then the chance % goes up.
0:09-0:10, they technically won 56 races together. With Kyle having 60 wins for his career currently.
This video hurts my eyes, but this is well fucking deserved.
@UCFKU7yEnlUHMbxoC5Wom5Ww FAKE.
Why is it deserved, you love Kyle Busch?
@@albertcalderon8069 Well, what I'm saying is that I'm a Kyle Busch fan, and he literally deserved to have a bad season video made of him for 2022 because he did terrible in the Nascar 2022 cup season.
i think all we have to do now is just look onto the future for kyle busch in the 8 i know he had a bad season but the season is over and most importantly i think it would be good to see what happens next year for kyle busch in the 8 i do think he will outrun what everyone else expected of him and i think he will crank up in the standings
NASCAR Rumble PS1 background music!!!!!!!! I like it!!!!!
This season was very abusive to be a Kyle Busch fan….
I'm that Kyle Busch fan
This Kyle Busch mess will probably go down into the record books as his worst season of both the playoff era but probably the worst period
Let's go kyle busch let's get a CHAMPIONSHIP in 2021
2021?
Saw this one coming
56 wins with gibbs
Do Dario Franchitti's brief run in NASCAR.
Should've made the MTJ video first.
This video and season gives me grave depression.
As a Blaney fan, I agree
