Dolly Parton's eye doctor inspires movie 'Sight,' talks escape from China | One Nation Under God

- Dr. Ming Wang is truly an eye doctor to the stars. The Harvard-educated surgeon has a long list of clients in Nashville, including Dolly Parton, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban. It's almost hard to believe he was once fighting for his life in China as the communist regime deported millions of high school and university-aged students like him to hard labor camps. Wang arrived in America with only $50 in his pocket and unable to speak English. Now, he is one of the foremost eye surgeons in the world.
“Sight” tells the doctor's story in a film with true-life stories of the orphan children and impoverished communities he helped restore vision to. The film also looks at what he calls a miracle invention he came up with after praying for God's help. Terry Chen, who poetically portrays Dr. Wang in this Angel Studios release, speaks to the importance of representation in Hollywood and how the story he is now helping tell on screen changed his view. “Sight” is out now.

Here in America, we have always taken our freedom for granted. We 'had' a lot of freedoms to which others sacrificed to get here. It's a shame that we allow our freedom to be taken away in very small steps. It's also sad that those who come here for freedom are the only ones who see it.
