Maybe you should start here at my how to play guide? Also add me on Steam, profile in the about page of my UA-cam channel and we can play. ua-cam.com/video/3yj7gBTZYVQ/v-deo.html
Very helpful video. I wish I could play multiplayer but with games this old/obscure the only people still playing would probably curb stomp me before I could build a single frigate. XD
Hi and thanks for the comment. They also play comp stomp, meaning vs AI. Also you can send me a friend invited and we can play on Steam if we have matching time zones
@@perafilozof this seems like a ridiculous oversight on Gearbox's part. I do recall many complaints that they dropped the ball with this remaster. Learning about this reopens some wounds.
It's weapon systems are supposed to work 360 degrees but the guns can't move like that leading to a lot of wasted time not shooting at the target and the damage it does is not correct.
Assault frigates are most effective vs corvettes. Even in the original game where the guns could traverse 360 degrees, they can't traverse fast enough to properly track fighters. Drone frigates are the Kushan anti fighter frigate with a globe of gun drones that give full coverage and accuracy.
I never much liked the mismatch between using HW1 and HW2 factions in the same match. There's just too much difference between the way the two games played for it to make sense in any balanced way.
To be honest it bothers me too, but the community taught me how to overcome the problems. You just have to learn the correct build orders, counters and strengths and weaknesses of each faction.
It's been YEARS since I've last played Homeworld, so a lot of this information goes over my head.

That guy used very unique tactics.
Indeed. Thank you for the comment. Do you play HWR multiplayer?
So much still figuring out I got both Homeworld remastered and deserts of kharak games that were on sale a few weeks ago
I know. Many have. That's the reason I am making these videos. Add me on Steam and we can play. My profile is at my UA-cam about page

By the way, you said Assault Frigates don't work the way they did in the original. Could someone elaborate?
Hi, the main issue is the lack of rotating turrets. The whole ship has to turn to keep tracking and shooting. Lowering the usefulness of the ship

Not an oversight more like not enough skill to deal with the issue.
5:35 what’s buggy with the Kushan assault frigate? Is it still useful in campaign?

@@perafilozof I see. It still works fine in campaign?
@@Cooldude-ko7ps I don't think so. But it doesn't create that big of a problem there.

@@spaced8641 right, good point. Some things don't work exactly as their tooltips explain, leading to some confusion.
