Hope Deslauriers breaks this kids back when the flyers play the ducks. Wish nothing but bad luck for this kid throughout his career. Thinking he is Sid or ovie when he has proved nothing yet.
This is continuing a dangerous trend. It’s making the NHL Draft irrelevant and showing draft picks that they can be free agents from jump street. Could you imagine if all the top draft picks in baseball decide that they want to play for the Yankees and Dodgers? The owners need to agree that there is only one way for a player to enter the league and that is through the team that drafts them.
If you draft a player who refuses to sign they need to compensate the team that drafted them somehow. Maybe the player carries a million in cap space per season for the original team that drafted them until they reach ufa status. Maybe the team that eventually signs them gives up their next first round pick.

Anaheim is kinda on the rocks and you can say they have a good future but it's just a theory. Flyers are here to stay and adding a huge piece is only.going to improve their chances.
@@BrownKnee666 Flyers are 2 points ahead in the Wildcard in January. Do you know so little about hockey that you think that means they are heading for the playoffs? Save this message and come back to me in April. Drysdale has 46 points in 124 games played. That is literally the opposite of “if he’s playing, he’s producing.” Love you casuals that just spout out complete BS.
@@SurfinCowboy5615 dude he is a defeamen scoring in 1/3 of his games in Anahiem where they have sucked ever since losing Getz or Getz last 2 years....this is a good player man. U complain about Dry but Cutter never stepped in the NHL ice. On top of that Flyers will add ANOTHER prospect as well... so like I said a proven top 4 YOUNG RIGHT D, and a 2nd for a prospect with ego problems.
Aside from hockey I'd prob want dry in the locker room over cutter. So that's also a win.
Flyers will prob get in at this pace they do not show signs of slowing down. Ya I'd love to laugh at u when they make it in. Casuals. I'm 30 dude and played hockey my whole life and coached. I won college Champs and captain of hs. Very successful hockey career. But u can hate all u want man if that makes u feel good.
FOX Is still Booed in Calgary. Fans never forget.
Quitter Gauthier picked the wrong fanbase to upset (I.e. JD Drew) lol he sounds like a drama queen and a brat. For once in 20 years, Crosby isn’t public enemy #1 in Philly lol
My cousins husband played for the Phillies while the JD Drew thing was going on. He once told me that people where throwing batteries at JD when he came back to play in Philly for his first game.. OUCH
Yeah a fan base he’ll see once a season unless they meet in a cup final. Oooh, stupid take.
let him play where ever D briere is awesome
Saying it had nothing to do with Torts is laughable I'm not saying he's the main reason but it certainly factored in.
Drysdale is made of glass, played 18 games in 18 months. Also, start the clock on when Torts benches him for his poor defense, you just know he will. Torts is gonna Torts, especially with young players.
No-one knows what Gauthier will become, he hasn't even played professional hockey yet. But all the stuff about it following him around for his career is pure garbage, plenty of young players have refused to sign with their drafting team. Adam Fox refused both Calgary & Carolina, it hasn't affected him in the slightest. I think more young players will do it, rather than waste the early part of their careers in the crappiest teams in the league.
😅😅😅😅😅😅
Elliot lookin Fly
Let me mention his abysmal 7.7% shots to goals percentage he put up in this “superb” gold medal World Cup win. For anyone wondering bedard was 20.5%
Logan Cooley was 15%. In comparison.
Cutter plays small on the boards and is gonna lose even more time to get the puck off in the NHL. Time will tell though
He was a HORSE 4 th US team, & hs mates Luvd him! some times pucks don’t go in, hs % is usualy prty gd! but he found ways to b tied for th Points lead in tht Torny, & if u thnk he was soft in thoz gms, u wern’t wtchn

They should have traded him to Pittsburgh.
The only sweater the kid wants to wear is the one with the dollar sign logo ? Wow
OMG he was drafted at 18..EIGHTEEN! We gotta remember how young that is. There is a reason the Blackhawks gave Connor Bedard a large 50Yr old "body man" to escort him around. Mature or not, at 18 he's unsophisticated and way too young to take on a scrum of 8 or 10 reporters every time he enters or leaves a rink. Hey y'all, did any of you do something at 18 that you regretted at 21 or 25 or 40? I find you (and me) guilty as charged.
Bless me Father for I have sinned
Kid wanted his shot at the show, Verbeek will give him that.
No kid demanded to join NHL for last 15 games in +1 draft year burning an ELC and was so entitled couldnt wait all of 5 months to start NHL career.
People are acting like this doesn't happen a lot. Players don't sign with the team that drafts them quite often. Who cares if he didn't want to play in Philadelphia? He doesn't owe the fans anything. The Flyers could have lost him for nothing, instead they got a defenseman & a draft pick. It's not like Gauthier demanded to be traded to Toronto or Vegas, he's going to Anaheim.
As a Flyers fan, the Flyers brass screwed this up royally. Who cares about cap problems in 2023-24 as the team was rebuilding. You don’t play around with a guy with this upside, even if he’s a diva. You get him signed because he and Michkov were our future.
This is just another example of why the Flyers haven’t won a Cup for 50 years. Whether it’s Clarke in the 90’s refusing to address the goaltending situation when you have Lindros. Whether it’s signing Bryzgalov and trading Bobrovsky. Whether it’s taking Nolan Patrick over Cale Makar. They always screw up the big moves.
Go root for another team casual.
Bobrovsky was not very good on the Flyers. I don't blame them for that trade.
Holy shit boys. An actual sane Flyers fan.
@@jjjfo1818Casual? Lol. The biggest problem is Flyers fans don’t criticize the team enough and always circle the wagons, I actually saw fellow Flyers fans blaming Kevin Hayes. Lol. The Management F-d up big time and the fans need to call Briere and Jones out. We let a top prospect go because we were worried about the salary cap in rebuild season.
@@scottarmen9097Bobrovsky was a rookie in 2010-11 and had a good season until he hit the rookie wall that year and faded. They went out and signed Bryz that summer, then traded Bob the next year. Typical Flyers as they don’t let these guys develop and the player comes back to haunt them on another team (Remember Patrick Sharp and Justin Williams). The team has had NO patience and Bobrovsky is exhibit A.
It was torts.an anything that screws over filthy philly than it was good..
Keven Hayes and the Boston Clique influenced
People forget Kevin Hayes refused to sign with the team that drafted him. Whether it was specifically about Philly, I wouldnt be surprised if Kevin told Gauthier that you have a choice and any blowback isnt the end of the world
@@shaman9 if its hayes it wasn't just him. The BC boys stick together
Hayes came out and said he had nothing to do with and only took the kid golfing once at the teams request. Also Hayes never asked out of Philly he was a salary dump that was originally supposed to be part of the sanheim deal
I wouldnt wanna play for torts either would probavky make him a 4th line grinder would have like to see his side or if hes looking out fir his best interest
Out of respect for the flyers ‘ he should give them the reason why he don’t want to play for them’ obviously there’s a reason
Great story. However, it doesn’t add up. Briere said 2-3 months after they drafted him he told them he didn’t wanna be a Flyer. The draft is in the summer. Great story but again seems like Elliott spreading nonsense to sound more important than he actually is.
I was just thinking that. I don’t think Danny B would purposely lie about that.
he was drafted in 2022 it was last may he decided he didn't want to play ..... hope that clears it up for you
@@samsawhney34582-3 months after the draft is November-ish. Elliott claimed this happened in March 2023. Learn to read
Hope Deslauriers breaks this kids back when the flyers play the ducks. Wish nothing but bad luck for this kid throughout his career. Thinking he is Sid or ovie when he has proved nothing yet.
This is a horrible trade 4 the flyers, lets drafted a Dmen in the first rd we can't drafted Dmen or trade 4 one....
I would not play for torts either!
Because you’re too soft.
Caps please don't do this to Ryan Leonard. If this is how the kids are nowadays you gotta plan ahead
Philly is a rough city. So I can understand not wanting to play there. I know I wouldn't want to live there if I didn't have to.
He’d live in a rich, well-off neighborhood. He’d be fine lol
Philly metro area has some of nicest areas in country and is where tons of player retire. Every huge city has some bad areas like LA, NY, Chicago etc.
Philly and JT. Who wants that ?
Seems like the kid could have benefited from a coach like Torts who would have shown him that no one is bigger than the team.
They were compensated: they got a defenseman & a 2nd round draft pick.
C’mon guys, be real. It’s the coach and no one in their right mind would ever admit that. It doesn’t need to be said.
Idk, if I’m a big time prospect I’m not too worried about the coach given that most coaches don’t last 3 years with the same team
I think it’s pretty obvious why he didn’t want to play and live in Philly… who in their right mind would ever willingly live in Philly. Not that California is much better.
You sound like a fun person. And from Florida, the place where they burn and ban books like it is the 1800s. Yeah Florida is definitely much better
Most Philly players live in South Jersey.

So now when top players end up to teams they don’t want. Then they ask for a trade and a team loses out. This crap started with baby lindros back in the day.

Elliotte always broadcasting from his closet.
Drysdale is injury prone so far in his career. He's not a shutdown guy you'd think Danny could get something better than a guy who could possibly end up a bust.
