I DO NOT UNDERSTAND why this show has not been a success in Britain. I Love it! A Schwartz Gem!!! Your performance must have been electric to experience, especially the title song, I keep re-playing it! Who is the lovely soloist.
As Palmer has requested, I would love to see a full video.

It has also not been a success in the US. Has never gone to Broadway. It's done semi-frequently by schools and community theaters, but even then, it's a rare gem to find a live performance of this amazing show.

I have seen the British production when it came out in 1991. With a TOP-Cast: Ken Page, Frances Ruffelle, Shezwae Powell, Richard LLoyd-King. It basicly had to close down because of the 1990/1991 recession. Many good shows had to close down. Chrerographed by a young Matthew Bourne (Now famous because of his Swanlake). Well directed by John Caird. Sometimes a show opens in a wrong time.
