@@alec9255 I deal with people that get these big houses & feel like they have to fill it up. And they do! Then they call me to help organize & declutter. It’s hard to change a mindset.
Housekeeper here and I've been in half a million dollar homes that are just trashed. Makes me sad. They throw away laundry that their pets pee on...waste of money.
Your home is so cheerful, I needed this ray of sunshine. I had to say goodbye to my little dog last Friday after 19 years together. All the sudden, my small house seems so empty.

Small tip, when you store your rugs, roll them the opposite way so when you pull it back out the corners and edges will be rolled down towards the floor instead of up!
PS I blame you for me washing my floors on my hands and knees 🤣

Harmony is so cute! We had family pumpkin carving night tonight. My kids are all grown ( 22,20, & 18) , but they still pile in here to carve their pumpkins and they sat there laughing and remembering back on past pumpkin carving nights. You have no idea how many wonderful memories yall are making with harmony right now until one day she is recalling things you barely remember like my girls were doing tonight. I almost cried lol
Kathy Petty My kids are similar ages 23, 20, & 18. The 2 youngest are away at college, so I'm not so sure we will pumpkin carve as a family this year...so sad. First time in all their lives actually. Last year when we gathered around the table to carve, I had this realization. For now we will hold onto the memories. God bless

But my oldest just got her art degree this year and is engaged, planning to get married in February next year so I am bracing for that 😬 I am used to having a house full 😂 my husband and I dont know how to act when they are all out of the house at once lol

You clearly show how routine is important so you don't get behind and end up with a massive deep clean on your hands that almost defeats you before you start.
Looks like the only thing to do to have your home fully updated is the bathroom shower/tub and counter/sinks. Great job!
Please never stop making these. Your home is a house tons of us can relate to! It's not big and fancy and it doesn't have to be to be a beautiful, clean, cozy home.

A little tip to clean the sink U Bend,fill up your empty plastic milk bottle with bleach,soap and hot water then squash the carton down flat into the plug hole really fast,,the water forces any gung still stuck there out,cleans the container out at the same time and shrinks it down so more room in recycling bin.I love your videos,you have a lovely calming voice,

Everything looks so beautiful, and Harmony's pumpkin was so adorable. I wanted to let ya know to get one of the big bottles of the purple Fabuloso, cut/punch a small hole on the side down at the bottom, then sit the whole bottle down in the tank on the back of the commode. It will keep your bathroom smelling fresh, and clean. Just a little suggestion, and hack that u might like.

Well you getting down on your hands and knees to clean the floors took me right back to when my lovely mum would do this!!!!. She died in 1980 but I do this as well at least once a week. Love watching you're videos.... it's a gloomy day out here today and i enjoyed watching this with this weather we're having today....try mixing 1/2 vinegar (i use cleaning vinegar) and 1/2 (i use the blue dawn dish soap).... that's what i use to clean my sinks and i've even used it to clean my bathtub....i feel it works and looks clean....
I just found cleaning vinegar and love it!
So sad for the kids that gotta wear masks unnecessary. 😪

I’ve been binging your old videos lately and I decided to scrub my kitchen/pantry/dining room floors on my Hands And knees today
I know what you mean girl. My husband works nights from home, I love getting up before he does and cleaning up the house because it's distracting to have to keep stopping in the middle of what I'm trying to get done. It's also kind of for me, I can't chill in a space that isn't clean, I'll just be anxious about it all day. Get it out of the way in the morning and just keep it up little by little all day. Much less stressful. Also, side note, you inspire me so much. First of all, you look amazing after just having a new baby ( i know this is an old video i meant in general) , second i think it is easy for viewers to forget that UA-cam is a huge amount of work on top of being a wife and a momma of 2 especially when your son is so young. In case no one told you, you are doing great and you are kind of a badass.
Yessssss need the motivation to get up and get my house back in order! We’ve all taken turns being sick the last two weeks and I’m ready to get everything nice and clean again 😩🧹🧺

I’ve even used the knee cushion/mat I have for gardening to clean my floors. No way can I go without something under my legs when on the hard floor scrubbing.
Even though you are updating some things, I hope you never update to a modern washer! Those older washers with the agitator in the middle clean SO much better than the modern "water saving" ones.
I am so glad you posted, I got a lot done today but need some motivation to do a little bit more. I keep losing track. Love to see all the Fall stuff too. 🎃
@LonePine Bride Its hard to find now. My husband didn't even consult me about our washer, he just came home with one, an expensive one too. I would have gladly accepted a used one off Craigslist that would have been cheaper and probably worked better. Our washer has lasted for almost 10 years, so I guess it's ok, but I add extra water to it a lot of the time. Whether I should or not, I do it anyway. Lol. It hasn't caused problems yet.
I miss how fast the old machines were! I have top loading he and it's like 42-58 mins depending on if I do an extra rinse or add softener. Then dryer takes just as long! While I can wash more per load I feel like the old machines had to use less energy since they ran so much shorter!
@@MarisaAndChew Yep, even when I click the short cycle which is supposed to be 35 minutes, it still takes 50+ minutes. Also, sometimes it won't spin blankets and it seriously takes HOURS to get it to spin. It just keeps continuously trying to rinse the blanket over and over and defaults back to 16 minutes. Sometimes I just have to take the heavy ass soaked blanket out and hang it on the fence once I get too tired of waiting for the washer to work right, and to think of all the wasted water!

Use barkeeper’s friend in the gel form. They also have powder but it is messier. That really cleans up any spots in your sink its very strong no need to leave it to work just squirt and start scrubbing. When completely rinsed off and dried it looks very clean.

So many dont know how to do it and its really because my generation couldn't be home to teach you all. We had no choice but to work. I did what I could on my days off but it wasn't enough. Now i cook with them and we enjoy it but you are a great resource for explaining why and how. We love your kid lunch content for my youngest son and my grandson to give them a HOT LUNCH. Hey girl yes dawn powerwash(spray dish soap) is the best for cutting through grease in your sink and even on your stove I clean houses for a living and that’s what I use I even use it to scrub out soap scum out of tubs and showers :)
I tidy, clean and vacuum everyday and can’t rest until it’s done. I do this first thing in the morning and then the rest of the day is washing, grocery shopping and preparing/cooking our evening meal. Love watching your vlogs and it inspires me to keep going. Your pumpkins 🎃 are fabulous.

Omg now that I am early I have a suggestion for you!! I think you should buy the Scrub Daddy sponge. I always passed it up because I felt that $3.50 for one sponge was too expensive, but I finally bought it and I swear its worth it. I have never liked a sponge so much as I did the Scrub Daddy and I want more. I don't think I can ever go back to using anything else for washing dishes. NOTHING sticks to it, it's sturdy and good for scrubbing, and its just amazing. Its also cute. 😃

@@mouseofthehouse929 I want to try them all! I can't remember what the difference is between Scrub Mommy and Scrub Daddy but I want all the varieties. I only bought one and am using it for dishes but I plan on buying it for the bathroom and anything else needing to be scrubbed.
