Smart husband-no opinion...lol! If you are missing your kitchen set...for sure re-do it and put it back in your kitchen. I think it would look awesome painted...and give you a bit more room to set & have family meals. Can't wait to see if you redo it! Great video.

My husband is the same way with pillows lol. He doesn’t understand why we need more on the bed,the couch,the loveseat and recliner 😂😂 I’m just trying to make things extra cozy and comfortable 😅

Great video, Kayla! You have great instincts. A table and chairs in the center of the kitchen could be so cozy to sit around in winter. Maybe relocate the island to another spot in need of storage or display. Have fun with this!

If you can find a small rectangular table, you won’t lose as much space. IKEA has some that are really inexpensive, and you can buy them unfinished. Then you can keep your island! I love the island and you’re lucky to have such a big kitchen. Thanks for sharing your life with the UA-cam community. ❤️💚

You may be too young to remember, but the green Pinalen is what Pinesol USED to smell like back in the day. They changed the Pinesol formula a while back. I bought some Pinesol last year and almost cried. Pinalen is all I use now because Pinesol just doesn't smell right. Smells too much like chemicals. I am so glad you found it!! I have been meaning to come in and leave a comment about it but I just kept forgetting. Lol. Enjoy!!!
I'm so happy that I found your channel ❤ I deal with depression & anxiety on such a level that it just about took me outta here 💔 the cause of my depression & anxiety, came from losing the only brother I had when he was 32 years old, & we lost him in such a horrific way, I haven't even yet came to terms with what happened. BUT, I found a way to deal when my "episodes" would get so bad they would become crippling........and that is to CLEAN! So I literally found your channel at the perfect time lol. Nothing makes me feel better than a spotless home, I've always been super clean & OCD, but when my brother died, those words took on a whole new meaning. Of course my family thinks I need help......which no doubt, I probably do, but I don't ever wanna resort to having to take meds, I'd rather clean! Lol
Aleast maybe talk to someone though...cleaning does help but u also need help dealing...sorry for your lost...your brother wouldn't want u to live unhappy...so find away that helps u heal...best wishes to u
I'm so sorry for your loss ❤ Cleaning really is therapeutic. There's something about putting in work and getting that instant gratification from seeing your efforts make a difference. Everyone is different but for me, my surroundings have so much impact on my mood. Keep doing the things that help you and taking care of yourself!! Finding someone to talk to such as a grief counselor or therapist is also very beneficial in helping heal after a loss, especially a sudden trauma. Sending love, prayers and good vibes!! I've stood where you are and know losing those we love is the hardest thing we ever go through ❤❤❤m

Yes I agree try a smaller table by the windows if you are missing the family table. Part of feeling like you can breathe in a space is not over filling it up. As usual you motivated me to fire up some candles and start moving. Your home looks so inviting!

Yes! Bring a table back in and paint it white, but put a big rug under it like how you have a rug under the island now. Just make sure it’s big enough for the chairs to go under. It will make that spot cozy looking and more finished.

Trust your instincts, your taste and designs for your home are becoming so sophisticated and just like removing so many decorative pieces made life easier doing a refresh on something you lovd is a wonderful idea! It's awesome to see another woman take pride in her home, I clean everyday, yesterday I slacked off a little due to having a sinus infection, but today I just want to get back in the routine, I am thinking some furniture polish spray on living room , bedrooms, and I really want to tackle the basement living area. Easy supper for tonite crockpot roast. Here I am 315 am up with the dogs because I went to bed at 8 30pm....

Painting the table is an awesome idea, but one thing to ask yourself......would you use the table enough to justify giving up the extra space created in your kitchen without it.....we use our kitchen table nightly for supper for the four of us, it's a six foot long table, my boys are 6 footers now so for us that table is comfortable, I was telling hubby when the boys move out I want to keep my 1950s metal and burgundy chairs and buy a smaller 1950s table just for us to use.
We also dont have a counter a bar stools in our kitchen.

I didn’t think anything was missing from your kitchen, but then you said it and I do agree, I think having a table could be nice, especially for the holidays to be able to eat a meal together that’s not in front of the TV with distractions, it could be nice. you know what I mean?

I bought some of that stone work sticky wall vinyl like you have in your kitchen and it looks amazing. Works great behind the wall where I keep my trash can. Easy to wipe down as well. I also did Along the wood on the very bottom of my cabinets. Must have been hard work doing it all on your backsplash! I suck at cutting straight lines🤣
I love watching your channel, it’s always so soothing! As far as the kitchen table I like both, I think it just comes down to if you like eating in the kitchen or in the living room! If you enjoy sitting together in the living room, then you might not want your kitchen table taking the space, but if you like sitting at a table for dinners I think the table is the way to go! Both will look great, I think it just comes down to your family routine and flow

I don’t know if you have tried them but I buy the swiffer wet mop pads that already have the cleaner on it. I love them! I use the lavender scent and they work like a charm.

Honestly, I love having the table to sit down with my family and eat out meals. My kids open up most about their day during dinner. This has been especially helpful as they get older. Definitely sand your table down and get it back in the kitchen 🤍🖤
