You are my Queen. Sometimes I watch marathons of you while I'm working on my projects. You are my favorite person out there.
They are really beautiful. Another top of the line remake. You are the queen of giving new life to items that many would throw out. Love, love, love you make overs.❤❤❤
I found your channel accidentally last night. I was watching crafting videos and fell asleep. When I woke up UA-cam had your channel playing. My husband refinished furniture and I’d help him, but he had some kind of natural instinct as to what to use, which way to sand and had amazing patience with it. I have skills in other areas. Like I sew and if I mess up taking something apart to correct it isn’t earth shattering. I’ve really enjoyed watching you clean and revitalize these pieces. Each time you said, “writing desk,” I would think of the Mad Hatter saying , “why is a raven like a writing desk?” I live in the Potomac Highlands area of West Virginia. Apples are grown here commercially. I put apple decorations around my home. It’s not all apples all the time, but if I see something cute I will buy it.
Your finished pieces are gorgeous. I’ve got a few pieces that I need/want to bring back to life. One is a little wash stand looking piece I found on the side of the road in Texas. It’s cute, but it’s mostly pressed wood aka compressed rat vomit and glue. I’m planning to do a crackle type finish on it. There’s a crack where the mirror section came off and crackle-tone can cover a multitude of sins. I’ve also got a gorgeous double rocker with a needlepoint upholstery and arms carved into swans. It needs to be restuffed, the swans are coming apart and it’s in dire need of having the wood refinished. As far as things no one wants; I rent a room and my roommate and I have been keeping an eye on a round dining table at Goodwill. The top was loose and it was diiiirrrty. On Sundays they have a tag color for $1.00. Last Sunday that table had a $1.00 tag. We got it home, cleaned it up, tightened the top and it’s been great. For anyone living in the Austin, TX area keep your eyes open for side of the road gems.
Yvonne you are a constant source of inspiration! I love the telephone book holder 🥰🥰🥰
This desk box was used as a telephone stand. My grandmother had a similar one. Thanks for sharing.
Wow! The crackle on that sugar box was absolutely wonderful
Gorgeous every single one! I thought the writing desk piece would make a great charging station for lap tops tablets and phones.
Great idea!
The little cabinet would be cute with little ball feet. Something to rise it up.
I love that blue
Love the last little cupboard- it’s my favorite! 🩵
The writing table was once a telephone table where it looks like drawer went stored the telephone book went my mother had one for years
Enjoy all of your projects! That little shelf with a cubby and box attached would be a wonderful side table for a small bedroom. It could be attached to the wall and there’s plenty of room for a phone, books, pen and glasses. Really love the look of that one especially.
Yes, Yvonne, how right you were to pick those wonderful objets! Your skills allow you
You are really a patina specialist! All three pieces are beautiful.
You are a magician!!! Good work. Yes, I would've either walked right by or thrown away. You definitely have an eye for what "could be".
I love the writing station
Just amazing!!!
The second little blue box looks almost like it would have been hung on a wall holding a rotary phone. With a box for notepaper and pens and the lower cubby for a phone book (remember those?!”)…. It has such cute lines! ❤❤❤
I love the finished products!!!!!!
Each piece turned out fantastic. I wonder if some people realize how much time n effort you put into a piece. I’ve come to realize your skills at making something over is a perfection you’ve conquered. To take something that looks like it will never live again, you make it over looking old n even new. There’s a lot of channels out there that do makeovers but as for me your #1.
My favorite was the green box but I was a little leary of the blue one but after seeing it close up n adding the porcelain knobs it looked awesome.
♥️♥️♥️😊👍👍👍🌟
If we still used phones, the black piece would’ve been a perfect little place for a phone station with the phone on one side and notepad and an address book on the other. It is very very cute.
I could never have imagined how pretty those were going to turn out but I would buy that sugar box in a heartbeat! You did an awesome job on all of them and surely they will sell.
1. Love, love, love this beautiful, amazing color! Don’t really care about extreme crackling-some crackling is good, but to each his or her own choice. 2. The color of the hinges and the green bottles you have staged on it. 3. Wow, wow, wow that color is exceptionally beautiful!!!
Nice, I love how you redo the old craft wood and give it new life. I use to build custom cabinets and furniture, so I have a long love of beautiful wood.
Your videos make want to find junky stuff and transform them into something pretty❤
Yes, now they are “treasures” !! Well done !
I love the little writing desk. I would have bought it too.
Your refinishing work is absolute perfection!
I really love this trio of repurposing finds! Great ideas.
They all turned out great. I love the little desktop cubby.
I love the blue lap desk item and would have just cleaned it up
Goodness. I dream of finding stuff like that but where i live.. no way.. You guy's in U.S.A are so lucky with all those amazing thrift stores..
I would have taken the ‘sugar’ bin home just because it was old…but, oh my goodness! Gorgeous!❤ The second I honestly would have left behind! But, that cast iron makes it beautiful!🎉 The strawberry cubby went from hideous to fabulous with that blue!😊 Love it all!❤
It’s like you save the pieces from the furniture pound. I think you should sign your works of art!
I try to remember to
The little sugar box looks like someone’s high school woodworking project or home project. I think it’s so adorable! I might have grabbed it if thrifting, but certainly not the other two……….at least not prior to having watched your video ….now everything is a possibility😁❤️❤️
I've never seen a portable telephone station before! I love the cast iron color & the fact that it can be used for other things since we no longer use those old, chunky dial phones.
Girl you can make anything look good , you do such a good job creating
That black piece woulda been cute as a cookbook stand bc I noticed the lip on the bottom. With cooking accessories on/in the other parts.
The green sugar box looks great! And the black lap desk turned out beautifully!!
The little desk would definitely have grabbed my eye! These all turned out beautifully ❤
Yvonne you can always find beauty in everything. You did it again
Great upcycles and given new life❤
Outstanding! I love that last blue cubbie. You’re right that blue is beautiful 🤩
Truly treasures
The second piece is a telephone book table
Do you think the writing station was once a Telephone station that was mounted on the wall? It has a place for phone book, note paper, pens, and writing area.
We always needed a mirror when talking with our boyfriend on the phone.😂😅
Great face lifts and updates for all.
You did a great job on all the pieces! This is one of your best "Trash to Treasures" videos! That vintage blue though...wow.
The pieces look just great. Yvonne you done good girl!🎉😂❤
Hi Yvonne, all your projects turned out beautiful. The crackle on the sugar box is fabulous ❤❤❤
I love the box! I would never have thought to fill in the word Sugar with filler. Love the final result of the writing table as well! I’m also a fan of Robin’s Egg blue as well. Great job!!
I loved how the sugar bin turned out, and I was shocked at how great the hinges looked when you put them back on!
I was also surprised by how much I loved the 2 drawer box! I never give pressed wood pieces a second look, but with a great paint job and knobs, you made pressed wood boxes a hot ticket!
Thank you for sharing your wonderful ideas, Yvonne! I appreciate you.
I have to agree. She’s the Queen of it all. ♥️😊👍
This was fun. I saw potential in the second and third but the sugar container took me by surprise. You saw the value in it and brought out the best in each piece.
So charming...each one different with it's own personality.
Love them all! I learn so much watching your videos. You have a gift for teaching in a way that is easy and relatable. Thank you ❤
Love all three projects!! Any of them could be used as charging stations, just drill a small hole in the back…
I think the blue one was a shelf for a landline 16:24 desk phone and the little cubby held pens, paper . The lower shelf was for the phone book. Love them all.
Those came out so,so good :) I like them all but I just love the remake of the apple piece. That color is really one you could never get tired of. The green crackle was amazing, I don't think I have ever seen one so crackled like that. Black was the perfect choice for the telephone cubby thing? They all turned out really great. So happy you gave them a new life. God Bless. Hugs, Rebekah
I love all of your projects!!! Yes the blue is beautiful!!!❤❤❤
Love all of them. Definitely would have gotten them. I love doing over any wood boxes.
Love all of these pieces! I painted my cottage cupboards in the heirloom blue! Just love it!❤
Would put that last one on my bathroom counter for make-up etc.. Really cute
You did a wonderful job. Yes, I pick up stuff. My husband says, "Why?"
I love all your work but these 3 have to be my favorites as I love primitives and also collect apothecary cupboards and drawers. ❤
I really, really like that color mix on the sugar box . The finish is really great.
It was so nice to see the pieces done three different ways the milk paint, the painted and distressed and the simple painted one my favourite was the writing / cubby as I love the cast iron colour and black wax 😊❤
Love them all beautiful
Great make overs
LOVE the writing desk. My FAV!
Everything is beautiful! A little tip, a Dremel tool with the small sanding attachments are a big help for sanding the small areas. Save your hands and wrists. Lol
I have one.. I tried it. I found it a bit awkward to use.. so I just hand sand.. 🤗
@@GingerChickRehab sounds like me. I have a nice hanging one with a foot pedal. I like it for small sanding but I hate it for cutting. It's awkward. I always feel like it's going to fly out of my hand. I have arthritis in my hands so they get numb and useless randomly when overused.
All were so great when finished! I think I liked the green crackled piece the best.😊
Every piece is beautiful! ! Thank you so much for your hard work dedication!! Valerie
I so enjoy seeing your transformation of using black and white on most things, which btw, i do still love, to using all the beautiful colors of paint and waxes available. I too have changed my decor over the years, adding in more color and textures, You are such an inspiration, and i am always excited to see a new video, on both your channels.
I love all 3
I like the little desk but think if attached to a wall it would make a cute telephone nook for a land line. If there was a plug nearby you could make the cupboard a charging station for mobile unit.
I love that robin egg blue on the little drawers box. I love to watch you work!! lol that sounds weird but you just make it look so easy and fun
Love that blue color!!❤..love everything u do!..turns to magic!
Very nice le #2 ferait une belle table de chevet installée en porte à faux felicitation madame j'aime ❤❤❤
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and expertise with us. I love your attention to detail! You did such a great job on all if these projects!
Wow what a great transformation, did a good job, as always. Love watching. 🥰🇬🇧🐾🐾❄️
Your work is impeccable! I love watching you!
I love everything you do! I also love your sweet voice and your attitude of encouragement to others! You are my favorite. I am not even a rusty crusty gal, but I cannot help loving your improved projects. Also, I notice how you take such care to improve things… and make them worthy of repurchase. Beautiful job, every time! Now, as far as these items go, I wanted you to know that, on camera, I can still see the “sugar” and wondering if one of those beautiful decal that you place would cover that up? Just a thought. May the Lord continue to be your blessing! ❤️
All real nice
Your work is awesome! I do like how the Sweetie Jane and Pantry Door color turned out!
The sugar box is my favorite❤️,but I love them all. Yvonne, you work magic on all of your pieces!
Beautiful!! I think you’ve re-I spired me to look at a couple things once more that have been hanging out too long in the garage.
I love what you’ve done with the thrift treasures!
Great save on the projects. Love the new green color.
All are nice. The crazing on the sugar box is beautiful. Love how the milk paint naturally does that.
I knew that I was going to like the former apple knobs piece. The black and blue and the new white knobs made it elegant, but the sugar box is my faviorite. The crazing is stunning
Love the techniques and the outcomes! Tyvm Yvonne God bless
Amazing transformation! Love that blue color!
How do you decide what type of paint you want to use? Fusion, milk, spray, to wax or not, etc? Love your videos!
Very cute pieces ❤
I do like the heirloom blue but i like French Eggshell even better.
Yes, I like the sugar box and blue shelf
Off topic but love the look with your hair up! Gives me inspiration to not just do the basic ponytail.
Love that cast iron color! I probably would have picked up all of those pieces too. They all turned out great, as do all of your pieces. I do love that light blue color too ❤
Absolutely wonderful and I loved all the colors !!
ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL YVONNE !
Those items were the ugly ducklings that you turned into beautiful swans. I do have some of these types of thing to redo. I will be looking back on this video and others when I start
I would have left the sugar box exactly the way it is😊
(for brown sugar)
The other two ,
Go for it.
I love your projects!! Especially the one that had the apples on it!!❤
Love all the projects, my favorite has to be the 2nd one!! ❤
