Love your tutorial videos! Please keep them coming. I've retired from tap dancing for 2 years now and I miss it so much. Doing these at home make me so happy :)
Hello.... I am a professional dancer...started dancing at 2 and started tapping at 5yrs old....I haven't been in a production for a few years now. When I was a teenager I won a scholarship to dance with a company in L.A. over the summer.... Paula Abdul was my teacher a few times. She is an excellent teacher and tap dancer. Tapping has stopped being occasional and turned into my every single day again. I have recently watched a few tap tutorials on UA-cam of a few different people and I must say.....YOU ARE SPECTACULAR!!!! MORE PEOPLE SHOULD WATCH AND LEARN FROM YOU, FOR REAL. One person on here has a tap tutorial and I couldn't understand why because they don't have clean sounds, couldn't stay with the tempo, had poor teaching skills, couldn't explain how to do the steps (how to do weight/balance changes, etc) and what they were doing was very basic, but labeled themselves as advanced.... I laughed. A few people are "teaching" in their videos and are facing the camera....lol. What kind of dance instructor teaches a class facing the students? You have your back to your students so that they can learn the proper side (L or R) of placement for the choreography for all parts of the body....common dance teacher knowledge. KEEP BEING AWESOME!!!
Wow first of all, congrats on your accomplishments! That’s amazing! Paula Abdul was one of my idols growing up and I recently did a “duet” with her tap section of her Straight Up video on my UA-cam. I’ve seen many videos like you described. I agree with you. For me, I was very hesitant for many years to put myself out there because I was afraid to be judged. So silly, I know. I’m so happy that I turned myself around with that because I receive so many kind messages like yours. So thank you!!! If you post yourself doing the choreography please tag me as I’d love to see. I’m on IG (@nicolebillow) and Tiktok (@nicoletapz)
@@NicoleTapz I will ABSOLUTELY do so. Also, I understand your fear. Being a dancer at an elite level..... I never want to appear to be bragging or pompous by filmong myself. It is different being on stage and performing while doing your best, but filming yourself is different for sure. So.... I am happy and thankful that you overcame that fear. YOU ROCK!
@@NicoleTapz I actually studied that music video and learned all of the tap section and taught it to a class for my dance teacher and she put it in a competition number....lol.
