@@BloodylaserIn the Kaito Files, Kiryu was referenced in one of the heat action descriptions. Basically, it stated that Kaito heard stories about Kiryu from his aniki and was inspired by him.

Kaito is a fucking beast with how he fought Kiryu twice and didn't get knocked out. The Judge bros aren't to be underestimated

@@killyo5302 ik about the raw strength but I’m saying he’s beaten kaito in a 1v1. Raw strength is hardly a problem for yagami with his advanced aikido counters/parries and his swiftness, it’ll take more than brute strength to overwhelm him
@@TheRealFredbearPlushAs much as I love Tak, he wouldn't make Kiriyu sweat. He's an absolute animal though and could run a Yakuza boss gauntlet.
@@SolidSnake240 lol yeah I don’t know what I was saying. Kiryu’s 100% winningbut without a sweat is kind of a stretch. He’d arguably be Kiryu’s strongest opponent (excluding Saejima and maybe Majima)

@@swagmaster-vn2dx only thing is, this game takes place before lost judgment(2021), this game takes place in 2019, just before and during Yakuza 7, Yakuza 8 takes place in 2023, thats a 4 year gap since Kiryu met Kaito, wonder if it will ever happen at this point.

@@karls4937 Actually yakuza Gaiden takes place during the events of Yakuza 7 as well. The ambush and the fight against Shisido take place near the homeless camp and one of the homeless mentioned Ichiban was shot and treated by Namba.
Before the release : ok, a few minutes cameo like Zhao in Lost Judgment, but cool
Actual game : 2 KAITO BOSS FIGHTS, HIGASHI, AND THEM JOINING THE RUMBLE WITH YOUR TEAM
And Sugiura too
For 8 to do the same thing but with Sugiura and Tsukumo.
Glad we finally got a proper Like a Dragon/Judgment crossover.

I doubt it. But it would be nice to see Yagami in Like A Dragon Infinite Wealth. I definitely wanna see a team up with Kiryu, Ichiban and Yagami
@@Jose-se9pu I think originally the producers wanted this game to be DLC for Yakuza 8, but seeing how long can explain the story between 6 and 7 and make more interesting they wanted to make into a whole game.
Kiryu's voice actor is Risotto's voice actor in the game ver.
Kaito's voice actor is Risotto's voice actor from the TVA anime.

Now I’m unable to get this game for a bit and told myself no spoilers.
THIS IS AN EXCEPTION.
Hearing the secret boss theme from Kaito files play in that last fight made me lose my cool because I got so hype.
On my legend playthrough (if they even call it that) I'm making sure to save before entering that fight soley for the sheer hype that entire fight brings. Even if you can clean house so easily.
Makes sense, my guess is Ichiban will eventually meet Yagami.
I don’t think they’ll ever use Yagami outside of the main Judgment games just because his actor is very expensive and busy.
Free my boy Takuya Kimura. A man of his talents needs no contract nor agreements. I will personally advocate for Judgment 3 if I must

@@TheRealFredbearPlush FWIW apparently his agency is not _as_ strict as it used to be. It helps the whole mess revolving around Johnny Kitagawa not that long ago kinda screwed them over hard so they can't exactly get away with a lot of the crap they used to.
Finally we get a Judgmen crossover and it did not dissapoint!
BUT why does Higashi have the dagger moveset instead of his normal fighting style in the colosseum?? Especially since he already uses it in the final fight of the substory.

Playing this mission was the fucking best. Although I’d love to see kaito again in 8. I’d imagine kaito and ichiban would end up becoming best friends
Finally they've tied some Judgment story with the Yakuza one, great to finally square against Kiryu (because, well... Kaito took Beast and Brawler modes)

They give Higashi his moveset here but they give him Kanji's knife moveset in the arena.
And Higashi's moveset is reused by one of the Four Kings.

I was getting hints throughout the whole sub-story. Hopefully I'm not wrong though, but seriously, they wouldn't make Kaito say all that stuff about expanding the business in the future if they weren't planning to make a judgment 3.
Does it? Lost udgment takes place in 2021 this game is set in 2019. This is still a prequel to wtv happened in lost judgment.
@@georgec9384 I mean, who knows what the developers were getting at. I realize that it's a prequel to Lost Judgment but the fact that Gaiden is a 2023 game and Kaito said what he said proves that the series isn't over just yet. Whether we get judgment 3 in late 2024, 2025, or even 2026, hopefully not that far away, it doesn't matter. We're still getting another game now that the first and second game of the series is on pc. Please don't burst people's excitement.
To bad it doesn’t have voice acting but it’s cool nonetheless hopefully this means a chance of a cameo in the next game

Kaito practically fought Kiryu to a standstill the second time with neither of them being too terribly serious. Crazy how much love this game's given to certain characters like he and Ryuji.
No. They were stopped when his phone rang. Look at Kaito and hear him he's tired and in pain while Kiryu didn't even break a sweat.

When does this substory happen? Is it after Lost Judgment or before?
The game takes place in 2019-2020, so probably between Judgment and LJ
Gaiden mostly take place before 7, so i think this is after judgment
This game is late 2019-early 2020. Judgment takes place from late 2018-early 2019 so this is in between Judgment and Lost Judgment
According to the Gaiden story, the timeline was where Yakuza 7 start, there's even a camo that Namba hiding and treating Ichiban's gunshot in Yokohama on Gaiden chapter 1
