You might start out small and just sell as a hobby and turn around and need all that extra equipment just to keep up. (I would love to see that happen for you.). Helpful tips are great and I’m sure appreciated, but man… you take some “heat” for things that I appreciate you showing. Know you are appreciated, and try and block out the haters.

It seems like every new video you put out pushes the envelope a little farther. Good job! Andrew! You and Tiffany and of course the pups have captured us completely😊
Sweet!! Spray some silicone lubricant on the blade and guide rollers, it will make the machine run smoother, prevent rust, and it’s not prone to allow dust to stick to it. Great video!!

Make sure you blow of the sawdust from the table, if you leave and there is any humidity it will rust very badly. Also use wax or sill on lube on the exposed metal.
Hey Andrew. That’s funny that I just posted a pic of my bent meter prongs. I already ordered a different one, but I’ll consider this moisture meter if the other doesn’t cut it. Thanks much! -Ed
I bet there’s a bandsaw blade that would cut firewood even better if that’s all you’re going to use that bandsaw for. I bet there’s a specific tpi, kerf, and width that would be good for it. I got a bandsaw blade for doing resaw veneer work and it has way less tpi and kerf for that purpose. I do like the idea of using a bandsaw for firewood and smoking wood. Need to remember this.
@@TKCL saw your video today with the new blade with fewer TPI. I’m so happy that worked out for you. Sounds like a much better fit for the purpose you’re using that bandsaw for.
The bandsaw looks like a good solution to get the size of smoking wood. It's not recommended to wear gloves when operating a bandsaw. If the blade was to touch the glove the teeth will grab and pull your hand into the blade. Be careful. Thanks for the video.
very cool! as far as smokeing goes a little goes along ways. ive seen someone just pour the smoke heavy on stuff to the point it was way to bitter and make you have to sit on the toilet for a week! oak for your heat and what ever wood for your flavor!
As a HS shop teacher, 3-4 TPI would be something I would recommend. I use that type of blade for doing lots of lumber cuts and rips with no issue. Delta 14" is my go to and reliable and lots available on Marketplace.
@@TKCL that’s what surprised me. I would’ve thought Ruger would’ve been right there with you, not far off in the distance like that. Oh and the gift must’ve been from another Robert! 😃
cherry, hickory and hard maple is considered competition blend. so if you have that on your property, that's premium blend. cherry, post oak blend would be great or cherry with any other hardwood would bring premium. instead of selling just cherry. figure spread your good stuff for more premium selling
No maple here. But I do have oak, cherry and occasionally find hickory. Oak and cherry take care of all my cooks. Sometimes I'll buy apple for special cooks, but it isn't strong enough for me on most cooks.
@@TKCL I've done this before, reach out to me before you attempt it, the yield of charcoal you can produce is incredibly low to the amount of wood you use
I like the chop shop name for your new work shed. Even though it is your happy place. I want you to put an affiliate link to the battery powered blower you use. I am fixin to buy one and want to purchase through your site
Is there a lot of BBQ competitions in your area? Might try and get some info on ones going on because it's a great outlet to meet people who do them and sell some of your specialty firewood.
Save your money. Your idea of buying a larger bandsaw in the future is a bit of a stretch. The bigger saw will not do anything to increase production of smoker chunks or smaller firewood pieces. The only reason anyone needs to move up to a larger unit is if you intend to resaw thick lumber to thinner stock on a regular basis. Then you're going to need a larger shop area for it too. That might save a few minutes of setup for cutting up your smoker chunks, but you can do that just by giving the table top unit permanent bench space. I have a small bandsaw I use somewhat infrequently for cutting up small pieces. I have it on wheels so I can pull it out when I need it. I'd like the bigger unit too, but my needs for resawing are too infrequent to be able to justify the purchase. Your plan of a saw mill will take care of the thinner stock too, as then you can cut your stock any thickness you want in the first place. Keep using the small saw for the small stuff, and put your cash towards the sawmill. A Sawmill will make you more than any big bandsaw. Considering you already have the raw logs it'll save you more too.
Good info! I just bought some quality bandsaw blades with low tpi and made specifically for rough, dry hardwood. These might get me all the speed I'll ever need.
Ilike Vevor products but, they are slow on getting products to the customer. I bought a grille for the fire and it'll be over a week before I receive it.
Notice that every piece you cut off, you pull back, then WATCH, your hand goes right across in front of the blade. A safer way would be to pull back through and toss in a bin on the left. Wearing gloves on these machines is deceiving. If the blade catches it, it will pull it in so fast... But if you have no gloves on, your skin will feel wind from the teeth and wake you up.
We are already getting too broad here. Thus the reason we have 117k subs but only get a few thousand views per video. Channels that cover a huge range of topics typically do not do well for views.

Yeah I seen that and commented on your IG post earlier today.
You should rotate the saw so you can shoot the pieces right into a container rather than bring it back through the saw blade. Little safer.
Not a bad idea, I'll play around with this.

The saw blade teeth can catch the glove material and pull your fingers into the blade.
