To me it’s a shame that he’s actually always been better than the music he sang over. Mediocre era Anthrax and Saint was very inconsistent and average compared to John himself In an alternate universe he said yes to Metallica Imagine him doing Fade to Black or Master of Puppets
I was about to say I just started getting into the big 4's newest stuff and it's OK but I only liked anthrax with JB so I started listening to armored saint and I can't believe how these guys just get better with age
Had the pleasure of meeting John Bush at a club in North Hollywood called the FM station if anyone remembers that he was very down-to-earth and very cool to me and I also got to meet the rest of the members of armored Saint this was back in 1993 a time I will never ever forget long live the saint😊
I was fortunate enough to see Armored Saint during their Symbol of Salvation Tour in 2018. They sounded incredible. Btw this is an incredible performance and recording. Every instrument is clear as a bell. Joey Vera is a beast of a bassist. The first time I ever saw John Bush live in person was in 1997 with Anthrax and sounds just as powerful to this date. Armored Saint as a whole seems to get better/tighter every passing year.
Joey pounding that bass. Saw them in Dallas...they rocked. All great guys, treated us well backstage. U will never meet a better group of players. Saints Will Conquer!
Saw Armored Saint way back in the 80s open for the Ted Nugent knew right then and there they were special here we are almost 40 yrs later and they are still kicking major ass unbelievable band great musicians, great song 🙌👊💪🏼
Goddamn I need that today. Thanks to Armored Saint for always being what you guys are and to Brian Slagel and MBR for bringing us Armored Saint since 1983!
I've been listening intensely to these guys for couple years now. Never saw their video until now 😁 love them after googling "where's John Bush now"😁 love John Bush era of anthrax.
I think I speak for a lot of older metal fans when I say, "I can't believe I never heard any of their music before!". Sure, i've heard the name Armored Saint all these decades, but I just never listened to them at all. It was mainly more popular bands like Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Dio, Dokken, Ratt, Queensryche, Accept, Loudness, AC/DC, Ozzy, Saxon, etc that got my attention. I can't believe what I missed!
I saw these guys when they opened up for King Diamond at the TLA in Philadelphia in the late eighties (I believe it was 1987 or 1988). His voice was great then and sounds even better now!
@@RougeSanta correct. I’m old so definitely remember that. Was not a fan. Absolutely love Anthrax with Belladonna. I like his voice with Armored Saint more. His cover of Deathrider with Anthrax was really good though.
one of the best metal vocalist ever
Definitely - Bush rules! 🤘

Most underappreciated band In Metal history.. while many other bands turned to garbage these guys turned to gold ! Legends !

The energy John brings to the performance is amazing. Armored Saint is lucky to have him.

one of my altimeter favorite songs! it really reminds me of our fallen brother R.I.P. David Earl Prichard, Long Live the Red Saint!
John Bush.. that voice... great clip

That bass in the mix!👍
Was prolly mixed by Joey himself.
these guys are criminally underrated :( Hell yeah, long live the saint! \m/
Great to see that the Saint is still marching, after all these years.
🤙

This song makes me think about aging realizing we are all on the way to an everlasting day.

Reminds me of old school Iron Maiden. Which is great of course.

John Bush used to sing for Anthrax

EPIC! My All-Time favorite song! 🤘
Sad these guys got screwed in the 80's and 90's by management. They could have been huge.

i think this is a pay per view show during the pandemic, will this entire show be released any time in the future?
j'aime😀
Mr. Vera made the right choice to pick Saint over Merciful Fate.
Early Maiden
The Maiden flows strong in them.
