Valjoux 22 : Watch dial restoration (restauration cadran de montre) | EP 5/8

This 5th episode is dedicated to the restoration of the dial of our piece.
As you will see in the video, the dial was very worn.
We had to remove the silvering, polish and reprint the patterns.
This operation required meticulous work by R. & C. Stämpfli, who has been in the business for 30 years.
Next week, the fifth step of restoration will be presented to you. In this episode, Stila SA will take care of the creation of our watch case.

Ce 5ème épisode se consacre à la restauration du cadran de notre pièce.
Comme vous le verrez dans la vidéo, le cadran était très usé.
Il a donc fallu ôter l’argentage, polir et réimprimer les motifs.
Cette opération a demandé un travail minutieux réalisé par R. & C. Stämpfli, qui exerce cette activité depuis 30 ans.
La semaine prochaine, la cinquième étape de restauration vous sera présentée. Dans cet épisode, Stila SA s’occupera de la création de notre boite.

That's really a tough job, you can not do it if you do not like it. The two of them are doing the job it would normally take a smaller company with 10-20 employees l.
