Absolutely love this and use my board daily. When we do virtual trips, I play the Delta safety video, a plane taking off, and destination video. My class really gets into it 😃. We also do a 5 minute meditation each morning. We practice a lot of mindfulness because of the tradegy that happened so close (Stoneman Douglas). I also play relaxing music when they are working (Starbucks jazz cafe). I could go on and on ...endless possibilities with this technology. Great real world simulation and awesome sensory for the classroom. Thank you for your inspirational and motivational video🙏
I just received my interactive TV Friday (5/17/24) when I was told I might not get it until September! Thanks for this video. It gives me a place to start.
i used to be the computer teacher/librarian and also the tech that installed all the smart boards in our schools in our district. i would try to run workshops for teachers to show them how to use them with lessons. but they didn't seem to care to learn how to use and take advantage of all the potential. i'm a stay at home counselor therapist now for special needs students.
If the regular teachers lack training, us substitutes are complete forgotten. As mentioned, the kids can't be relied upon to know what to do if there's a problem. If the regular teacher leaves lesson plans on the smartboard, that is nerve racking for the sub. There's always the worry that one wrong touch and the plans disappear. We're told that the teachers around you can help, but that is not always the case. They may not know how to help you, they may be in a meeting, unavailable, or if it's the middle of class, you've got a problem. With the proper training, I would love the smartboard. As it stands, smartboards just frustrate me.

I used an overhead projector, chalk and a chalkboard. It was always better...always working and easy to use
