    Good video & content of a very efficient farm dairy! I believe its your gimbal that is constantly in the bottom right of the shot, perhaps a different setting on your camera is required to avoid this in future videos?

      With flip flop starmer in charge there's no chance! If he was managing this farm he'd have 2700 cows with enough feed for 100 and only 10 milking at any one time!

    A bloke that used to sell me dairy equipment told me that he never asked WHY. Wonder how long it will be before they replace the men and cows with a machine? I suppose we wont need milk then!!!!! How much did all that cost??? It looks like an awfull lot of litres of milk needed to pay for it!!!

    Great video! Very interesting can’t believe they milking about 1700 with just 72 units just goes to show how effective the whole system is!! Farmers milking ALOT less and spending too much time in the parlour 🙄

    Could you please let me know the name of the product use to write the white numbers on the back side of the cow. Thank you.

      No, it's not a product, it's a process called "freeze branding", normally done by contractors using liquid nitrogen and non-ferrous branding irons (oops, and hair shavers).

    I don’t care for the way the crowd gate is designed. You need to be very careful that a cow doesn’t get her head in between the rails and gets jammed as the gate advances

    • @danbrewer
      @danbrewer 2 роки тому

      Yep I have seen this type of gate go wrong twice. Not a pretty sight

    • @mememachine5244
      @mememachine5244 2 роки тому

      Tbh given how the guy described an electric motor as hydraulic twice I don't think they have the foresight to see that.
      Can easily see a cow getting her head stuck, you know given this type of farm encourages them to put their heads between railings.

      @@Grasstecgroup why do you have to milk a lot cows to be a good farmer, do u not understand lads with 50 100 cows work far harder because their a one man show and do everything with very little help

    I would have hated to be doing the same job even if they swap every couple of hours. Loved working with cows but just cleaning or putting on would have been mind numbing. Fair play to those that do it.

      He stated that at about the 3/4 mark the cows are done being milked and the machines drop off so roughly 7 1/2 minutes the machines will be on.
