Spam 91% meat-contais starch. 2x200g tins in Iceland £3,85. Tulip only 64% meat-contains starch. 250g tin in Iceland £1.75. * Pek 90% meat- NO STARCH. 200g tin in Iceland £1.25 * Pek also tastes the best!

Try cubing the spam. If you can get it, cook chicken rice a roni according to the package directions. When you add the water pour in 1 can of corn including the liquid and put the cubed spam in at the same time. Cover and cook as directed on the box of rice a roni. Its a great one pot family meal. I promise baby Frank will love it. I made it for my daughters now we make it for our granddaughters. We call it spam and rice. Cheap, easy, delicious.

Never been a fan of spam (I think the greasy spam fritters at school was what did it for me) however, I got into bacon grill when I was in the RAF. It was always on for breakfast when we were out on exercise. That and what they called compo sausages, they were in tins complete with their own lard.
You're right about the water in the pan for the eggs. It works a treat.

Water in the pan for fried eggs is an old trick, so long as the rest of the stuff in there doesn't end up steamed. which I doubt as it's supposed to be added right at the very end. Good to be reminded of these little wrinkles passed down from years ago..👍

Believe it or not, I cooked spam for the first time in about 20 years today for my mom . I wanted to cheer her up because she's recently gone into a nursing home, so I asked her what she wanted to bring in, and she asked for some spam ❤ I'd forgotten how nice it tastes ❤

Always try to give mum things she may enjoy while she's in care...I miss my own mum so dearly and always tried to give her things she remembered loving over the years...her favorite foods made such a difference...even if only for the moment, she was able to escape to happier memories when we would eat together...(and Spam was something I would always prepare in any manner she wished...✨🤙🏼✨🙏🏼✨) bless your mum...take care...

@@JazzFunkNobby1964 simple answer is no.. if you have no health problems yourself and you no other commitments and the person you're caring for sleeps at night then maybe you could manage but after 2 year's, 2 major operations, no sleep and no support it became impossible...now I visit every day and live with the guilt...hope that answers your question.

Hi both, great video 😊 I went to buy some spam last week for my boys to try but when I saw the price I looked for an alternative but I wasn't sure if spam was pork luncheon meat or chopped ham & pork as both were on the self in the same tins so I brought neither 😮

Thank you for the vidoe MARTIN and SHARON! Will be nipping down to aldi soon for these ingredients so I can surprise my husband for his dinner (MY breakfast XD) when he gets home from his nightshift tomorrow morning! Love to see such a positive influence in the carnivore community!
