Being unhealthy, sitting and eating all day, never leaving the house and watching her family members accomplish things must make her extremely angry. When you don’t accomplish things for yourself, do nothing and soak up in your anger and sadness has such a detrimental impact on a person. But generally, I think she is a very angry and jealous person (even of her family).

100% agree. She needs to have goals and she needs to see her self accomplishing things so that she feels up to the confidence to know that she can accomplish whatever she wants without doubting herself. When and if this happens she will be lifted out of this mindset of insane jealousy and rage.

You do know there’s a difference between acting and legit wanting to murder someone right? Like if she has a personality disorder like BPD, it’s pretty normal to sit and play with knives. I did and sometimes do the same thing, it’s not the case of trying to be a scary psycho, it’s the case of unstable emotions and not knowing how to control them, which is a personality disorder trait.

She’s 26 years old.
She should have been driving well before the age of 26. I taught both of my kids to drive when they were 15/16. They didn't have to push me to do it, I did it because driving is a necessary life skill. Once they got their driver's licenses they were able to get PT jobs, commute to/from school and activities, meet their friends at the movie theater, etc. To some degree these parents were enabling their daughter's dependency. Where was she getting the money from to buy all of that ice cream? It doesn't sound like she was working, she couldn't even drive. There is a weird dynamic there where the parents aren't doing the normal things to encourage and empower their daughter's independence and then blaming their daughter for not doing enough. They seemed to have different expectations for their son vs their daughter.
Is it possible that this was the only way she thought she could get on tv?! I think this is a strange story!

You act like everyone just has unlimited access to healthcare. Chances are she doesn’t qualify for state insurance and she obviously doesn’t have a job. I feel that it’s not any other person’s place, especially UA-cam, to judge when all were seeing is bits and pieces of their lives.
Some people have crippling depression that they can't get out of unless they get an outside push. It's not that she doesn't want help, im pretty sure if she didn't want help she wouldn't be talking about urges to kill people on national television.

My wife watches dr phil everyday..i always listen cause usually im doing housework while she watches....this one i actually had to stop working and watch for a few...idk i just thought this was interesting and also disturbing...and it doesn't quite seem like theyre not fully taking this serious but hey thats just my opinion...also she could just be saying this for attention or she has a mental issue where she tells lies for attention..almost like munchausen by proxy...but whatever the case, good episode Phil..i never watch only can hear it from living room but this got me to sit down during the task of patching a hole in drywall....👍

I thought this was a joke for a good 4 minutes and 53 seconds.
She keeps re iterating "I don't even think he remembers" "my mum didn't believe me" etc etc which makes me think this is more about her wanting her family to believe her and take her seriously as opposed to her being serious in any intent to actually kill them. I think this is about her having to escalate in behaviour throughout her life in order to have her family pay attention to or listen to her.
She is resentful n playing the blame game because she is angry she didn't do anything for herself. It doesn't seem like it's to late to change with intense mental health therapy n but on a healthy food weight lose program. Sugar really does havoc on our brain n thought process.

Sandy- You’re not the only one. I don’t understand at all. To be sure I’m also confused and as Madison says, appalled. I don’t know where all of the feeling and empathy has gone from people these days. I’m so glad that this woman has been given the chance to talk about her feelings in time before she decided to snap and kill her family. Otherwise I’m afraid she would have been yet another person to take her whole family’s life and end up on the news. We don’t need to read or hear about yet another one of those people these days, do we? I sincerely hope and I do believe that Dr. Phil will be able to help her with the kind of resources he has available. I may not understand how this woman feels about her family but I certainly take her very seriously and that for everyone’s sake, she’ll be able to sort out her feelings and turn them into something positive and loving, at the least, maybe she just needs to be away from her family for a time to let these violent thoughts go. Never underestimate a mental illness. I'm 37 and take paxil. Thoughts are sometimes hard to deal with. I had a chemical imbalance that is fixed with a pill.
I am on 4 meds now I wish I could go down to one, or preferably none.. I really do. Maybe someday.
