Nonstop octave chords. The bassist is REALLY the lead instrumentalist in this band. Always playing such sick riffs, totally independent of the guitarist. And on that 6 string, which you wouldn’t think could work in a band/genre like this, but he’s probably the only one who makes it work.
An Alien Ant Farm Cover? At this time of year?! At this time of day?! In this part of the country?! Localized entirely within your bedroom?! Great work as always
Do more. Their first two albums are grossly underrated. Also, anything from Matchbook Romance' album "Voices". No one fucks with that album much either.
@@MysticGuitar77 Hey MysticGuitar77, When are you going to play Kryptonite by 3 Doors Down and Can't Stop The Music by David and the Giants? I also want to hear R U Gonna Stand Up by David and the Giants!!!
I hate to be that guy but you're playing one part wrong. At the end of the verse he doesnt go back to the E octave at the 7th and 9th fret, he just hits the 12th fret harmonic on the low E string.
I wouldn't really consider AAF a nu-metal band. They're more alternative rock/alternative metal. They borrow from a lot of different genres and are pretty unique on their own. They're kind of like a heavier 311 if I had to compare them to anybody else and like earlier Incubus.
I agree, as musician and producer myself. I know this song is not pop punk at all but it has an undeniable pop punk spirit. Feels like pop punk without being it. Alien Ant Farm was an alternative rock band that had a lot of nu metal and punk elements. Not to mention that this album was produced by Jay Baumgardner who produced a lot of nu metal albums at the time, giving them a nu metal style of production/mix which made them fit with that scene at the time.

They started out as a Primus cover band, that says it all about his bass skills.
Tye Zamora is a beast, with a super funny stage presence.
@@rockboy360 He's also a MAGA nutjob, but I digress.

Most accurate guitar cover of this song.
for real tho most covers go hardcore on the first chorus instead of waiting till the last chorus for the sweet payoff
Legit one of my all time favorite songs and you killed it bro!!!
Thanks!
YESSS! This is an old classic for me!
Yes more aaf that's not smooth criminal. Such an underated band
Gotta eventually do Smooth Criminal. That's a staple lol but I will do more deepcuts from AAF for sure.
AWSOME COVER!!! Love A.A.F
I‘ve Seen them live in falls 2019 (my latest concert) such a great underrsted band. Great cover

Their guitar player was really good at making some groovy octave songs..
Yes indeed, very creative
You nail every cover, even down to the tone!!! Keep it up brother 🙏🏻🙏🏻🤟
Thanks!
Holy shit getting that 2003 high school vibes
haha
This is so good...
Your playing is so tight. Id like to see a cover of Wish from the same album.
I've done Wish already but it needs to be re-done. That's an older cover of mine.
Just do this whole album besides smooth criminal. This album is so underrated. They never got the credit they deserved from this album

Good one!!!!
Thanks!

So good man. How long have you've been playing and are you self taught?
18 years give or take. I'm mostly self-taught
for a nu metal band, this sounds awfully pop-punkish.
