*DIRECTOR'S NOTE:* "This is my graduation film made in my final year at MA Character Animation at Central Saint Martins. The year prior my family lost my grandfather to Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer. I got the idea for the film at the funeral when one of my cousins looked at a picture of our grandfather from before he got ill and said that they hadn't seen that guy in forever, it was like he faded away long ago. That got me thinking of the phrase "fading away" and translating that into literal visual symbolism for dying by terminal illness. The family of foxes in the film is based off my family and I wanted to capture how the dynamic changes and the different aspects one faces when someone gets struck by illness. At the same time I wanted it to be suited for kids as I'm very passionate about kid's media and wanted a story that was not talking down to them and felt realistic but hopeful." - _Christina Nerland_ *What did you think?*
